Default How Do You Clean Your Veggies?

This may seem like a DUMB question, but what, in your opinon, is the best way to clean your veggies? Do you use any of those sprays that are available at the grocery story? I read somewhere that some scrubs their veggies. With what?

Thanks!

I don't use any commercial scrubs. I wash in water and sometimes use a natural bristle brush. I buy organic.

Apple cider vinegar and grapefruit seed extract is a safe, natural wash.

It's funny that you've asked that question. I had the EXACT same thought yesterday while washing peppers.

I wash all my fruit and vegetables with a mixture of 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water. I just put it in a spray bottle and spray them and then rinse. Vinegar is a natural product (hey it's part of salad dressing) so I know it's safe. I can't eat anything that isn't washed. I can just see someone sneezing on them! Or picking them up with dirty hands and putting them back down. We all do that, you know we do!!

Wow! Vinegar and water! I never thought of that. I'll have to give that a try! No one knows about a vegetable scrub brush?
