I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks or so. Thus far I have read tons of great advice and support on multiple topics that definitely apply to me! Because of that I decided to bite the bullet and register. I started out at a weight of 205 more than 2 years ago, joined Weight Watchers and lost 40+ lbs of that weight. I am currently stuck at about 162 and have recently decided I need to work harder to lose. I've had more of a maintaining mentality about my current weight, which was fine for while it lasted but I know I would be healthier at a slightly lower weight so am ready to really work harder at losing instead of maintaining. I am also working harder at maintaining my exercise program - it's funny how easy it is to let life get in the way of something you know will make you feel really good!
A little about my own attitude towards the weight loss journey - I decided when I started this that I wouldn't allow myself to be hungry (physically - emotional eating is a different battle - lol), I would only eat foods I enjoy (with the caveat that I will try new things more than once if I find them tolerable - taste buds do change) and that it doesn't matter how long this takes - I'm on this journey for life! I've lost weight before and just couldn't quite find the lifetime journey mentality. I'm happy to say I found it!
