Are you weighing every time on the same scale, in the same location? I know if my scale is put on an incline, no matter how slight, the reading will be different. I try to keep it in the same place, at all times. And I weigh at the same time every day, as well....
Relatively the same time (some days I wake up at 5AM other days at 6:30AM). But it's always first thing in the morning, and the scale is in the same spot on my concrete basement floor. The scale is relatively new as well.
Are you weighing more than once in a row . . . I mean get on, get off, get back on.
My digital scale is very touchy about everything -- including the way you arch your eyebrows, I think Anyway, I get on and off about five times everymorning. If I see the same number 2 or 3 times, that's the one I use for that day. If I never see the same number, I do a quick mental average of what I have seen and use that number.
Other than that . . . I actually get quite a kick out of the daily fluctuations (when I finally decide on what today's number is) and actually chart them in Excel over the course of the month. They used to drive me crazy, but as long as the overall trend for the month is downward, (and below the month before) the "blips" don't bother me anymore.
Just a thought . . . everybody has to come to grips with this stuff in their own way.
PS -- Here's my "Blip Chart" for March and the first half of April

Reason: added PS and Chart
It sounds to me like you may need to consider scrapping your current scale! That must be so darn frustrating every morning and see your weight all over the place. It reminds me of the Celebrity Fit Club scale, 230....155...400... your current weight is.... 205! So wierd.
Hm. I'd say it depends on what you ate the night before, the time of month it is for you, etc. Even what you're wearing. My weight fluctuates in the 5-6lb range on a regular basis.
OTOH, a nearly 10lb difference between saturday and sunday ... that would have to be a lot of water retention!
OK. Yeah, I don't know what was up with the 10 pound difference. I might have been wearing something different and not thinking about it (I'm a zombie when I get out of bed). I'll weigh in again tomorrow and if I'm back down in the 230s I'll assume fluctuations. Thanks ladies! =)
One thing that I do is ... I always weigh right before I get into the shower. I strip down to panties and step on the scale. That way I don't have to worry about what I'm wearing and did my warm flannel jammies add 3lbs.
i do the same thing, i will stand on the scale and be 217 in the morning and 211 at night. i call the lowest number i get that day my true weight. haha
Looks normal to me, also. Sometimes the most random things can make me retain water, and sometimes, it seems like there is no rhyme or reason. Fluctuations happen!
I don't usually get concerned about fluctuations. One day being up 3, down 5, up 5, etc. It's when I started going day to day at 7-10 pound swings that I wondered wtheck was up.
