Default We're never alone, right?

If there's something I've learned from hanging around at 3FC, it's that if I ever feel like anything ... there's someone who is feeling (or has felt) just like I do.

Today, it's a kind of heavy desperation. And it's not really just today. It's been creeping up for a while. Over the winter I gained some weight. In February I started a smoking cessation plan. I hurt my back. A couple of other health issues have crept in. My anti-depressants are all out of whack. We joined a gym.

It just seems like I've had my head in my health for months and nothing good is happening. I've smoked over the weekend. I'm almost 150 lbs. It's all swirling just out of my grasp.

Can we do it ... together? Can we rein in the whirlwind? One day at a time this week? Just walk, just watch the snacks, just stay away from folks who will give me a cigarette? Can we?

Let's try.

Hang in there Susan. You're right - there's always someone here who is dealing with something similar.

I've fallen off the wagon big time. I have been so frustrated with not losing any more, after doing so well, that I have slipped and gained back 5lbs. I'm taking a step to nip that in the bud - I'm not going to gain any more. I'm taking action while my pants still fit (albeit a little tightly). But this: It's all swirling just out of my grasp. That resonates with me.

So it's time to reach out and grab it again ... one little piece at a time!

Hang in there, Susan! Yes you can! One day at a time is doable, and we can do that!

You bring us all such great positivity and support, let 3FC give it back to you!

You are sooo not alone. Hang in there Susan! And, don't give up after you've come so far. You can get a grasp on things again - maybe just reach for one thing at a time until you can get them all under control again.

Susan, I am here for you. I know how things can spiral out of control. That's why I'm here in the first place. If it wasn't for YOU and so many others I may have actually given up by now.

One day at a time. Just today Susan. You can do this and we'll hold your hand or catch you if you fall.

Oh my goodness, you are all wonderful!

There's a commercial break in my TV cardio, so I'm checking in with you all and I'm fixing some oatmeal.

How are you guys doing?

We all have our ups and our downs, but we are hear for each other, Susan. It wouldn't be a "journey" without times like these. Hang in there, and I'm sure your cravings will pass, and your body will stop being so "be-jiggity"!

Susan, you're always so sweet Your posts always ooze kindness... maybe ooze isn't the right word. Radiate! Radiate kindness

I'm doing alright myself... getting back into the work days for the week. While I wasn't really off plan this weekend, I didn't make the greatest of food choices. Also, I didn't exercise on Saturday, so I am both looking forward to, and dreading getting on the treadmill this afternoon. I know that once I'm done with the treadmill tonight I'll feel better, but right at this very moment, it's so clear to me how easy it can be to fall back into old habits. Time to get back into the swing of things!

No, you're never alone. There are plenty of us, no matter what our situations are, that feel exactly the same.

You can do it, Susan.

Not only are we never alone . . . we are always with people who really, really care about us.

Hang in there, Chickie, this is just another phase you are going through and like all other phases -- this too will end -- the world will look more cheerful again soon . . .

You hit it right on the head, you are never alone. That is why I stopped lurking and started posting. Just about the time I feel I am losing all control and about to fall off the wagon altogether, I jump on the computer and her you all are. and if someone isn't sharing the same feelings, they either have at one point or another, or just understand in a way others can't.

hang on tight. We are here for you and you can do this.
