Morning ladies,

I can't believe its Monday again. How cruel! As usual, the sun didn't come out until late yesterday afternoon.

We picked up a loaner horse that I can use to ride while my big boy stays with the trainer for another 60 days. I miss my big boy! However, the trainer is doing a lot of trail riding with him so he'll be safe for me. This new guy, Hammer, is not going to win any beauty contests. And he needs to gain some weight! However, he's a very seasoned trail horse so I can do lots of riding with no fear. If the weather would cooperate.

Not much else is new. Gotta go do some time on the stationary bike this morning.

to all!

Morning!

Enjoy the horse, Terri! I hope your weather gets better... looks like ours is.

I think our improving weather is improving my mood. I have a crazy week ahead, but feel okay about it. It may help that I'm sleeping better these days, too!

Greetings!

I managed to do absolutley nothing on Saturday! Slept late, watched TV and lazed on the couch. So sad, but I think I needed a day to veg. DS was at a birthday party all day so I had the house to myself. It was very pleasant. Sunday I came to the office. I hate the office. 'nuff said there.

This a.m. I actually got my big behind out of bed and on the I.M. for 20 minutes. And thought I was going to DIE after a week with no exercise. But I feel so much better when I work out. Don't know why I don't do it more often.... OH! That's right! I'm LAZY!

But now work is beconing. Gotta run!

Hi ladies,

I'm thrilled to report that I had another loss for week 2 of the Biggest Loser challenge at the Fitness Center. My loss was 1.4 pounds. My total for the two weeks is 6.2 pounds. To have losses in both weeks and during TOM is very motivating. To top the scale victory with a non-scale victory, doing an hour solid of cardio is getting much easier and I'm able to push myself harder. I think getting away from home to work out has made a huge difference.

Work continues to suck. Big time. More people were let go today. Its kind of ominous because there are these extra security guys hanging around the front desks. I guess they are the escorts or else they are afraid someone is going to come back disgruntled. When I heard about two of them today, it just left my heart heavy. Good people. It doesn't help that my boss is being all doom and gloom about our future. He even had the audacity to tell me how much his life sucks and how miserable he is. I wanted to say, "did you get all of your bonus because I DIDN'T and that sucks more!" But I didn't. What a weisel. I am so not going to live in misery. I'm there for a reason and that is to hang in long enough to get fired and get paid off. That's my motivation and I'm sticking to it.

Lilion - Great job on the IM. It is hard to get it together early in the morning. I'd love a day to do nothing. Except DH never leaves the house long enough on the weekends.

Heather - I agree about the weather. It was gloomy this weeknd; until about 4 pm on Sunday and all I wanted to do was mope. The sun was shining today and it was a new world and a new attitude.

I gotta finish my state taxes (oops, just about forgot).

'night all!

Hi DMPLS,

Welcome to the group! I'm kind of in denial about the whole over 40's thing too but the body reminds me on a daily basis that it isn't as young as it used to be.

IM stands for Infernal Machine that Lilion uses. Its her elliptical.

Gotta go escort doggies outside and then hit the shower. I just printed off my state tax return and need to find an envelope. I always do the federal and one state really early and then procrastinate the second state to the very last day.

to all!

Terri The job thing really does suck. Just hang in there. Maybe you'll fly under the radar. It's a tough economy right now.
Great job on the weight loss! I'm afraid I may not have the same news the next time I see the doctor. I've not been very faithful about staying OP. I did go to the fitness center today and do the bike for 16 minutes. Now that it's getting warmer, I can get out and walk around the neighborhood.
How are the doggies doing? Are they getting along better?
Have a good week.

Here's a good accountant for you - I was so focused on getting all my state tax stuff put together and getting out of the house that I sealed up the envelope without us signing the forms. DH didn't say anything about not signing anything until after he mailed them.

It looks like we're going to get to go on our first weekend trailride this coming weekend. We tried last year but was rained out. I'm starting to get excited and a bit freaked out about how much stuff needs to be done this week. Either I work and do nothing at home or else I don't work so I can do my home chores. I am so busy on both ends and it seems like I'm not getting anything done anywhere.

I watched the Biggest Loser finale tonight. (gee, maybe that's why I'm not getting enough done!). I won't spoil it for anyone who may have taped it but I was thrilled with the winner.

The doggies are doing pretty good. Daisy is still mending from her leg injury so she's being kept inside a lot. She's doing well with it though. We have to be careful with Ruby and her but I'm not going to be stressed out if they happen to be around each other. I just make them separate. This is going to be a forever thing but I refuse to get rid of either of them. And I also refuse to let them make life harder because of their personality conflict. I do think Ruby contributes to the situation. I'd love to be a doggie psychologist. But then I'd be like a Dr. Phil - just GET OVER IT!

Zeke has been adopted by a family in California. Thursday morning, he has an early morning flight. I will miss him but know that this is good for him. When he came to us, he was considered "probably unadoptable" because of his lack of socialization. But he's done great in the two months we've had him and he is going to make a great addition for this family. I will miss him but I can't keep them all. And if I do, then I can't help any others. Now to find Wiley a home.

Bearcub - Great job on your time on the bike at the fitness center. It all counts.

Time for bed. to all!

Good Morning Ladies!

It's a fine, sunshiney, spring morning in Mid-Mo! Of course, it's supposed to thunderstorm tomorrow - but here you take the good with the bad weather-wise - sometimes the same day! It looks like I should have a light work-day, but that remains to be seen - as always.

Terri, so sorry to hear about the continual work worries - I'm sure that makes going to your office about as happy an experience as coming to mine. At least we're not getting fired anytime soon. Although the Director apparently threatened to do just that during a recent meeting. I hate him.

BErNICE, and I love the spelling of your name, I named my elliptical with what I thought was fitting. That I.M. is from the himself!

Speaking of which, I got back on today. I planned on 20 minutes, overslept as usual and got 11 - but that's better than nothing. And since it's such a nice, sunshiney, day, I parked and walked from my 6/10 mile away spot. It's such a nice walk when I get the chance. So I figured that makes up for the 9 minutes I missed on the I.M.

And now I've wasted enough of the work day. Hope everyone has a good one!!!

Good morning ladies,

Yikes, I'm sitting here in my office watching the sun come up. That doesn't happen very often. :z: We had Zeke at the airport at 5:30 am which meant I was up at 3:00 to shower and get ready. I may be having a nap soon.

No exercise last night but I've been doing really well with food and keeping my calorie count down. And its showing on the scale. Which is good because both DH and I were denied by insurance for the lapbands. Our BMIs had to be over 40 for five straight years. No consideration given to other health issues.

I'm off to find coffee. to all!

Hi everyone --

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm going out of town for the weekend and won't be around -- I'm hoping it will be relaxing, but getting ready to leave is exhausting! I'll be back Monday afternoon!

Hey gals,

The house is eerily quiet. All dogs are at the vets for boarding this weekend. We were supposed to leave for the trail ride today but because of lots of rain, we're waiting until tomorrow morning. Getting six dogs to the vets was an experience.

I'm trying to get my weekend work done today so we don't have to rush back on Sunday. I went to the fitness center this afternoon. For the first time ever, I did 15 minutes on the elliptical. I had a pretty good sweat going but I didn't feel like I was going to die. NSV bigtime. Then did 15 minutes on both the recumbant bike and treadmill. The unofficial scale said 255.4 this morning. I haven't seen that in about two years. I have to get through this weekend away and not sabotage myself. Official weight is Monday night.

Have a good weekend! to all!

Smile Back again!

Good morning ladies, the bad apple has retuned. LOL!

My eye is doing very well. I have spent a lot of time putting drops in and running back and forth to the Dr. My other eye will be operated on the 30th of this month and then I can start all over again. UGH! BUT, I can see better.

Eating has been erratic at best. I have managed to stay mostly within my calories, but not always the best choices. Like I said I have spent a lot of time in the car going back and forth.

I can't say the last few weeks have been fun. I was having a bad flare up when I had to go to the surgery and had to go in a wheelchair. Ouchie! My Dr. ordered one a few years ago but I only use it when I have to. That seems to be getting more often. Even if I wasn't overweight this would be an issue, but believe me being heavy makes it much, much worse!

I will try to get here more often. I need to keep in touch, keeps me almost op. take care, Ruth
