I am on here early because I am putting off my workout for a bit...my shoulders/back are killing me...on a good note, we are getting a new mattress today, so I have hopefully had my last morning waking up with pain!! Will probably do my ab workout after Frankie gets on the bus and I have loosened up a bit!
Lauren..pup is very cute!! I agree with Patricia. We wanted a dog, but we waited til I was able to stay home to take care of a puppy. They really are a lot of work for the first several months. Then we wanted to wait till Cadence was 3 1/2 so she would understand little better how to treat it (probably should have even waited a little longer, she was still kind of rough with Daisy). Having read the description, it seems Glock (love the name, BTW) has already been neutered. I think they have to be at least 6 months old to have that done, so maybe he's a little older. Still, Daisy took until she was about 8 months before she was completely house trained, and she chewed up EVERYTHING she could get her mouth on. We had toys for her in every room, but she still took stuff off the coffee table (pens, Barbies, small items) and destroyed them. If I left my shoes out she would chew them. She's much better now. We do cage her when we go out, which she really doesn't seem to mind. If you do decide to get Glock, be prepared for lots of work, but also lots of love & fun for your family!! BTW...I commend you for going to petfinder.com. We got Daisy from a breeder, but after seeing Oprah last week (so sad), if I ever get another dog it will be from a shelter or a rescue.
So, did everyone have a good weekend?? Pretty quiet here. Not a whole lot going on today. Have to make some cookies for a communion this week, also have cleaning & laundry to do...YAY. My usual Monday.
Okay, I better go get something done...will check in later!!
Morning everyone!! I am quite happy today..I am down another 3 lbs
Total of 17 lbs since November 28th...YAY FOR ME!!
Have a great day everyone...gotta get some work done (I have a meeting at 9:00 that I have to prepare for)..is it wrong that I would rather chat here than work...LOL!
good morning everyone..just wanted to pop in and say hi!...busy weekend...i havent had a chance to read the weekend posts..hope everyone had a great one..it was nice and sunny here..but cold...weighed on sunday..down 2.6 pounds...i wish this journey were over and i was working on maintaining it..its been over a year..im getting alittle frustrated but doing my best to hang in there..its stayed off so far so that is a plus...
pam: what kind of cookies are you making for the communion?...i hope your back and neck feel better soon..dont workout too much and injure yourself!
skinny: 3 pounds!...thats wonderful!..keep up the awsome work
gg: have a great day!
i better get ready for work...ive done nothing so far..im a little tired..but what if any of this is new...i am always tired in the morning and i am always running late...have a great one!
Holy cow, I just typed "mornin'" as I looked at the clock and saw that it's 12:22pm!! Where's the day going?!
Pam, I didn't really elaborate much on the puppy situation. DH & I grew up with dogs, and know the responsibilities. We also work less than 4 miles from home, and DH goes home at lunch everyday anyway. "Glock" is 3 months old. I guess because he's a boy he can be neutered earlier?? I know my old boy cat was done at 4 months. If we get him, his name will be changed to Frank...after Sinatra...'ol blue eyes. Yes, I'm already attached, and haven't even met him yet!
Hello everyone!! Well, this has been an eventful few days. We did the garage sale again yesterday AM for a few hours. Made $12. I think that's better than bupkis! I listed the kid stuff on Craigslist and I am having better luck there. Someone is actually coming to pick up some toys this afternoon.
The Tball game was so cute. Alex somehow got to bat twice (no one else did) and they had to keep reminding him to run. He played 3rd base in the outfield and he was so busy digging trenches in the dirt!
I went to the Dr. today for Aunt Flo. I get to take some progesterone and hopefully that will take care of things. If not, they are talking about an outpatient procedure. Yuck. I'm not looking forward to that. I hope the meds work.
Lauren: Did you get Glock? I went to check him out and it says that his profile has been removed. I love Petfinders. That's how we placed Tripper in a new home when we had to get rid of him. I still miss that silly mutt!
Pam: Hope the sore muscles are loosening up! Sounds like you have a busy day planned. I hear ya on the laundry. I'm washing all of the stuff out of the ski bags. It's prob going to take me a week!
Magee: Congrats girl! That's an awesome loss.
Christina: I'm with you on the tired. I feel like I've been dragging the last week or so. I hope getting the hag dealt with helps with my energy level. I hope you got a dose of energy!!
OK, DH stayed home to keep the kids during my appt (it sucks not to have a babysitter!) and he's making lunch for us. I need to go help out!
Good afternoon all! Thought I would pop in right quick to say hello to everyone!
Pam, I am soooo jealous! I have been asking for a new mattress for about 2 years now! What kind are you getting? Maybe the problem with why my dh has bought the new mattress for me is that I want that tempurpedic one and he thinks that is just waaay too much to spend on a bed. At this point, I will take most anything I can get. My back and neck kill me each day getting up. I dread going to bed at night because I know how i will fill when i wake up!
GG, hope you have a good day at work!
Skinny, WAY TO GO! Keep up the Great work!!!! Wish the scale would start moving for me!
Christina, you are doing a fantastic job! I know what you mean tho! You are verrry close to reaching your goal, so keep your head up!!!
Lauren, so have yall decided anything on the pup? How long have yall been thinking about getting a new one?
Karen, thats funny about your ds digging trenches! I should probably have a garage sale. I just think it is so much easier to put stuff on craigslist than to have to try to man a garage sale and hope it was worth your while!
Alicia, My neighbors were very grateful. I was glad to do it for them. We have a pretty close knit neighborhood and everyone is always doing the nicest things for people. I feel happy to do for others when I get the opportunity!
Well, I didn't work out this morning because I told myself that I did two work outs yesterday so I can afford a day off I did my hour work out yesterday morning then went to home depot and bought a bunch of flowers and such and re-did our flower beds. That was some seriously hard work!! it took 4.5 hours and i didn't get my oleander planted, figured dh could do that!
I did see the scale at 159.6 yesterday morning! I was so excited to see it fall in the 150's FINALLY, but I was back at 161.0 this am! sooo who knows!
HOpe everyone has a wonderful rest of day. I need to finish laundry and thought I would finish the twin's outfits I started a couple weeks ago!
Steph
Christina...you too on the weight!! I am making round cookies with white icing & gold chalices on them. The client wants them on a platter as opposed to individually wrapped, so that's less work, but also less money. Oh, well Hey, I remember before I got pg with Cadence I had some weight to lose...took me 8 months to lose 23 lbs...BUT, i did not really feel too deprived, and I bet your weight will be more likely to stay off
Lauren,, for some reason, I assumed you were new to dogs ( I have NO idea why I thought that!!). I say go for it. He is very cute, and the boys will adore him. Plus, walking dogs is GREAT exercise and company!! Let us know what happens!!
Karen...good luck with selling your stuff!! I used to do Ebay, but haven't had the time lately. I did have fun doing it, though!!
Steph, we got a Sealy Posturepedic pillowtop. OMG, when they took out old mattress out it was so embarrassing. It was literally 1/3 of the thickness of the new one!! also there were two big dents and a raised area in the center...pretty sad. Hopefully we will sleep better & wake up with no pain. Frank's up there taking a nap now!! My parents got a tempurpedic last year. It was 8000.00!!! But, they did get the adjustable beds that you can raise the head, feet, etc. Hey, I guess my dad figures he's done paying for everything for all his kids, it's time to take care of himself. Also, my mom has had back pain for years, and says it's basically gone now. Amazing. Maybe if you win the lottery you can get it!! right??!! lol
Well, it's awfully quiet today!! Guess everyone is super busy...hope everyone has a good night. Gotta finish the laundry before DWTS..Later!!
Well it has been absolutely beautiful here the last 3 days, I would say I've died and gone to heaven but my kids are still bugging me and I know God wouldn't do that to me. I've been walking my two dogs everyday since it stopped raining and its very difficult taking them both at once, Chip is strong as an ox and Layla (see avitar) is very, very fast and wants to pull the whole way. We didn't get her til she was almost a year old and have had very little luck training her. She had been abused and I think that has something to do with it, poor baby.
Steph, I bought a tempur-pedic cause my mattress was worn out and my back was killing me. Let me tell you that is the best, the BEST money I have ever spent.
Lauren, get the puppy, they are sooooo worth the work.
Someone asked me if I got my SUV back, I did it was some sensor that needed replaced. I spent 1200$ last month for the 100k tune-up, then had to shell out nearly 500$ for this. Not Good for my pockets.
Well I'm sticking to my plan for the most part, a few unauthorized nibbles here and there but I'm not discouraged. Gotta go, chat with you tomorrow.
The kiddos have the week off of school this week for their spring break. Not doing anything exciting just hanging out at home. Might see a movie or go to the zoo, not sure yet.
Pam, congrats on the new mattress. Thi pillow tops are nice. Some mornings I wake up and feel worse than when I went to bed. Let us know how you sleep tomorrow. BTW, how did Cadence do in Soccer? How is Gracie doing?
Stephanie, an Oleander? How pretty, can't wait to do some work in my garden. That's def a workout in itself, huh?
Karen, I hope the meds work to and you don't have to have the procedure done. My DH always use to say DD always goofed off in soccer and softball. Twirling her hair and dancing out on the field.
Christina, Congrats on the loss. Sometimes keeping it off is just as hard! your doing a great job!
Lauren, did you guys get the pup? Very cute, I know the boys are excited.
Skinny, congrats on your loss also!
I could barely move yesterday am (the day after working on the kitchen and helping dh get the fridge in the house. I was aching all over, I felt like an old lady.
Hope all are having a nice night. I still have to go and and do the after dinner clean up.
