Unhappy how many lbs is appropriate to loose in one month???

how much should i loose in one month?

And is it true in the first month or so, you should loose rapidily?

Today I seem to have lost hope, and ate a small peice of cake, with my morning coffee.

There isn't really a should... for anyone. Everyone's bodies are very different. I can give you a "most people do...."

Most people seem capable of losing about 1-2lbs a week. That's AVERAGE, so you might lose .5 one week, and 2lbs the next...onward and onward...etc, etc. Most people seem to lose quickly the first few weeks. They're on the ball about what they're doing, their body is getting used to the changes, and is losing water weight.

Forget about what you did for breakfast. Put it aside. Have a plan for the rest of the day so that you're eating healthfully for your snacks and other meals

Dont let the cake stop you, so what you had a peice...that doesn't mean its over for you. Think positive! Whether you lose 10 pounds in a month, or 5 pounds it really doesn't matter...bottom line is you are getting healthier when you consistenly eat better the weight will come off. :hugs:

dont worry about that piece of cake. you have all day to get back on track. And also dont second guess your self go at your own pace. Everybody lose differently. it took me two months for the scale to move, but i felt the difference in my clothes first. Good luck! you can do it.

Yeah, there's no set amount. If you are new to dieting, not used to drinking a lot of water, you'll probably lose a good bit the first week, maybe two. I know the general healthy guideline is 1-2 lbs. a week. If you're exercising a lot, maybe you will lose more. Slow and steady is the key, and make changes that you can stick with forever.
