Default I have some questions

Ok, where do I begin...
I'm 25. Ever since I got my first period they have been irregular. It got to the point where Id go (max) 6mths without having one. After being forced to take a pregnancy test when I wasn't even having sex yet, I decided to go see my GYN. She put me on BC without giving me a PAP. ANd I stayed on my BC for about 4 years (give or take a month or so). Now I am off of the pill, have been off since December. December is when I had my last period. I know I'm not pregnant, I've only had sex once since September and we used a condom.

What I want to know is, should I be speaking with my doctor about this? I've read up alot on PCOS and have several of the symtpoms....VERY irregular periods, overweight, carry my weight in the middle, hair growth on chest.

I'm afraid to go to my doctor and discuss it with her because I don't want her to look at me like I'm digging for something to be wrong with me. But there has to be, this isn't normal. How do I talk to her about it? How do I bring it up? I just had my PAP in January and they said it was normal. But I mean, is that how that test for it? I'm so confused.

There are other tests that they should be doing. Blood tests to check different levels of nutrients.
thyroid test..if your thyroid is off that can cause irrgularities.
There are other tests than just the pap smear. The pap smear checks for cancer cells, precancer cells and STD's. Not irgularity.
My suggestion is to find a different OBGYN. She isn't doing a very good job.She should've ordered the other tests along with the PAP smear. Ask your friends, family, primary for other options of Gyno's. You NEED to know what's going on with your body!

This isn't normal! I too had irregulars since the beginning, not as irregular as now, it seems to have worsened over the years, I go 9 months w/o cycles. Just ask, tell Dr u heard about it and would like to be tested simple bloodwork), its better to know, believe me, I have been fighting infertility for 10 years now, and its a weight lifted to finally know why I am fighting all this (got results yesterday!).
