Default Hi Everyone

Well, Firt of all, I started my diet ten days ago and have been actively searching for a support site since then. I have found a few but this one seems to fit my needs as everyone has the same goal. To get healthy.

I am a past success at weight loss. I lost seventy pounds on a diet 27 years ago. I kept the weight off for five years then was in an accident. I now weigh more than when I started the first diet. lol I can blame it on inactivity but we all know better now don't we. I like to eat. I love food!!! There I said it.

Multiple back surgeries with instrumentation and dominoe effect ruptures, spondy etc and now spinal stenosis does now allow me any standing exercises so have to rely strictly on sitting exercise.
My diet start date was March 11. Starting weight was 222. Today's weight is 211.
My diet is one I was on before. No name brand just cutting back calorites carbs and fat. I don't feel hungry nor do I feel I am missing out on anything.
Just needed to retrain my brain to realize what my body needs and not what i want it to have.

I look forward to posting here getting support as well as offering support to others when I can.

you have to be a member i think for 30 days and have a certain number of posts before you are allowed a tickers. good luck to you

Annie,

After you are a member for 30 days AND have posted at least 30 posts, then the ticker option will be open to you. At that point, click on the "User CP" in the purple bar at the top of every page, then choose "Edit Signature", and you'll see instructions there for how to create and add your ticker to your signature. Meanwhile, you can use the "Edit Profile" option, also in the User CP, to keep track of your start/current/goal weight.

You might find info on alternative exercise options in the Dieting with Obstacles forum and/or the Exercise forum, if you need ideas/inspiration. You might also like to check out the Calorie Counters forum. There's a chat thread there, called "Calorie Counters Chat", or if you'd like to set a certain goal for weight loss or just staying on plan, join some fellow CCers on the Mother's Day Challenge thread, which just started up. Either of those would be a great way to start getting to know folks better and making connections here at 3FC. Hope to see you around the forums!

hi Annie! From the years you mention, I would bet we are about the same age, and it DEFinitely gets harder to take weight off as we get older, but it's not impossible! It's great that you are minus 11 pounds already! I am finding this a fun and "chatty" site, and I bet you will too. Hang in there!
