Morning all...i had a killer workout last night. My pt kicked my butt..i'm definately a little sore this am...but i feel great!!!!! I slept great last night...for a change. I hope today goes ok...have the staff meeting with the children (right now that's how i view them LOL). I also weighed myself today...since i've been stress eating..and luckily i've only gained 1 pound. I wish i hadn't gained...but i guess that means that even when i stress eat, I still eat better than i use to. Alright i'm off....hope everyone has a great day.
Patricia (:

Good morning!

GG - will be thinking about you today wth your staff meeting. How much longer do you work out with your PT?

A lot of our new snow melted yesterday afternoon when temps got closer to 40. So, the roads are better. We are off to an indoor play area for kids this a.m. with the MOMS club.

What is everyone planning on making for Easter dinner? We have a college student staying with us for the weekend and my husband doesn't really like him that much. Any ideas?

Have a good day everyone!

GG ~ best of luck today. LOL at "the children." Good for you for keeping up with the PT.

Dawn ~ Can't beat spiral sliced ham. They're on sale this week, already sliced and super easy to prepare.

We're going to my mom's for Easter and I'm in charge of the food. Not bringing all of the food but calling the "sibs" to find out what they're bringing. I come from a huge family and seeing the food laid out is a sight to see. We've been doing this forever and my sisters are such excellent cooks. I volunteered to supply the meat (ham) this time and will also make a huge roaster full of potatoes. I'm in the mood to bake too so will proably make a dessert to bring. I'm looking forward to going home since I haven't seen the whole family since New Years. I love my family but seeing them every other month or so is just right:-).

Later all ~Joan

Christina ~ capris and a tshirt... must be nice. It's dreary and chilly here today (again). Tomorrow is supposed to be rain-free so we're going to the zoo. I'm so anxious for spring this year.

New washing machine is here! Never in a thousand years would I have dreamt that I'd get so excited about new appliances;-).

Joan, I'll never forget my first washer and dryer, lol. Had to do the spin cycle at least 4 times to get all the water out. Had to put the clothes through the dryer cycle lots. I was so happy when we got that new set. About 12 years ago now. Now I'm hoping for a new fridge. The one that was here is no good. I have to take all the food out and put the heater in it to defrost it. I've had to get rid of alot of food too. I have my eye on one at Lowes and I hope we get that rebate check, I'll be so excited to get a new refrigerator. What a dork!

Christina, do you have pink eye? Those shoes sound cute!

Dawn, I don't know what were doing for Easter. I'll be at my cousins but I don't know if were eating there or not. If not then we will be on the road and probably eat at Golden Corral or something. How bout a roast or something like that?

Doing very poorly here with eating. Still at my highest weight, *sigh*, talk later!

Hi all., back from the pit of darkness.
I have had a rough four days. My husband's old Rottie dog os pretty sick. She has been going down for a while, but the last three days she has been going thru bouts of confusion and vomiting and then weakness. I haven't had much sleep. It would be easier if we could put her outside, but it has been down in the teens. so we have been trying to watch her to see if she is going to vomit and get her out before she does. Then she paces around all night and she will get up all of a sudden and then just stare into the corner until she falls over. My husband has had her for almost 14 years. Her eyes are clouded and I think her teeth hurt. He finally made the decision to put her down. We are going tonight.

I have not been sleeping, so I think it has affected my workouts and they are not very effective. I can't get over 2.5 MPH on the treadmill and 5 pounds feels like 80. I may have gained a pound back, so I am still on the roller coaster.

I have been eating ok, but I have been sneaking chocolate here and there.
Yesterday I did not feel so fat, but today... I feel 175 again. Blech

Anyway, we are finally going snow machining this weekend. That should burn some calories. There is a Poker run in Eureka that we go on every year. Maybe I will win a new helmet. I don't have one. I just finally got my own snow pants. I used to wear an old pair of my husband's. That's what happens when you jump in to someone's life mid stream.

I better get back to work.

Hi All,

OK, so nothing is set in stone, and until the HR paperwork is approved, she gave me the "can't promise anything" disclaimer, but she's gotten all good feedback, and wants to keep me. Best part is that they pay very well, and I can expect to be offered at least 5K more than my minimum.

It's here today...all day...gonna start quacking soon. I'll take it over snow though.

DH & I decided that we're staying home for Easter. Just the 4 of us, MIL can stop over if she wants. My mom is taking Gramps to my aunt's house for the day, and they'll go to a diner...which I was surprised about, because my aunt always says she refuses to go out to eat on a holiday! It was her idea! But since it's just the 3 of them. She said if we came, she'd cook. I may go pick up a small spiral ham, the boys actually like it. We'll have an egg hunt in the yard if it's nice, inside if it's not.

Hey everyone

I have been MIA. Finally got my laundry done and now did some yard work. I went and had allergy testing done and I am allergic to grapes, olives, cauliflower, carrotts, all kinds of grass and pollen. ugghh

Well I think i am going to go to the casino tonight and play haven't done that in about a year.

Hope all is well with everyone. Hey GG how much does a personal trainer cost you per month. Here it is 250.00-500.00 per month.

Hello, girls! I just wanted to get my foot in the door and say hello. Once I read more posts and get to know the ins and outs of every one's lives, I will certainly be more constructive in getting into what everyone has going on.

From what I see so far, everyone here has such an awesome, positive outlook! That rocks! This site seems like the thing for me...I was more elated when I saw that there was an age group section! I believe that age transcends friendship, but there is a lot to be said about gals my own age, going through the same things!
