Default Another newbie? That would be me!

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum after deciding to make a serious attempt at weight loss. Something about hitting the big 4-0 and looking in the mirror struck a cord this time. Already joined the Y and am currently trying to decide on a diet program because I cannot do this without assistance. Any type of weight loss surgery is out of the equation as my health insurance specifically excludes all of them (and I work for a physician group - go figure).

Last week I attended a seminar at The Methodist Hospital in Houston concerning their liquid diet program but ultimately decided against it. While I have a large amount of weight to loose it just seemed a bit extreme. I have now decided to go with one of the local meal delivery companies; it is down to Diet Gourmet or My Fit Foods. Hopefully by month's end I will have tried selections from both and can make a final decision.

I look forward to becoming a regular poster but have a lot of catch-up reading to do first.

I've been here for a little over a month! I found 3FC when I first starting changing my eating habits.....the women here give such great advice and tips! Things that worked for them as well as what didn't work! Kinda helps you avoid the same kind of mistakes!

I know without 3FC loosing the 22lbs I've lost so far, would of been alot harder & I probably would of given up already.

Even when I feel I have a bad day they show me ways it actually was a good day. Like my recent trip to a Chinese Buffet, I felt bad about.........they showed me I did make good choices and that I will have to learn to eat differently even at a buffet. These are things I would of never gotten from dieting w/o 3FC!

Sit back, read posts, and comment or ask questions!

Welcome! I'm fairly new too, though I've been here before a couple years ago. This site is awesome, so much support and good ideas. You're just a click away from a shoulder to cry on, or a pat on the back!!

Hey everyone.

Just signed up for the forums and started a blog last night.
I came on here just to get some motivation.
I have been on weigh watchers for 20 weeks and have lost 28 lbs
It seems like my 10% is soooo close yet so far
i have been trying to get to my 35 lbs for the past 3 weeks. I am hoping I will at least get to my 30 lbs lost this week weigh in on Thursday if not a little more to get me to my 10% =)
I am loving reading these posts and hope to get involved more on here =)
