Default if you can't run, walk...

I wrote this little saying several years ago when I was on one of my many diets...

When you can't run, walk
When you can't walk, crawl
When you can't crawl, stop...take a rest...then get up and go again!

But it still holds true, even though I wasn't able to continue the diet. I put it in my signature to remind me of the very real truth I have found to be more and more true as I get older...love yourself enough to not give up on yourself!

During this trying time I'm going through at the moment, feels like I'm down to a crawl, I think it's more then just a simple truth...it's something I have to hold on to.

Thanks,

Angela

ps...just finished the painting I put as my avatar, very proud.

It reminds me of a line from an episode of Firefly (the best and shortest-lived TV series ever made). It was a motto of Mal and his war buddies:

"When you can't run, you crawl, and when you can't crawl, you find someone to carry you."

It's not quite like what you have up there But it reminded me of my favorite show ever. I like your motto for lifestyle change purposes, though!

Hey Ange: I've been thinking a lot about you and how things are going in your life right now. I loved your poem and you picture. How many different greens are in that picture? How many different blues did you use? Is it acrylic, oil or water?

I might have sounded flip when you first told us about your studio, and I need to explain why I try to treat everyday as an adventure rather good or bad. I guess I can't expect everyone to have the same view of life that I have but.... I was so physically impaired and had so much physical pain and mental pain before I had my WLS, that I prayed to God that he would take me out because I didn't think that I wanted to or could live another 20 years this way. I got another chance at life from WLS and I try everyday to just LIVE everyday to the fullest. Of course, things are not always good, but I'm alive and try hard to not let the circumstances rule me. We all know that is easier said than done! But, I'm trying to take advantage of the gift that has been given to me. I'm sorry I don't know really how you feel about the studio and so many other changes in your life, but I know it must be painful. Remember, each day is a gift; good or bad. I hope more of your days will be good and heavily outweigh the bad. You are very talented and have much to give; you are special! Nothing can really beat you unless you let it!

nancy...so much to think about...I'm usually a very upbeat thing, trying to see the good in all this...It sometimes takes getting out of a situation before you can find the good...Thank you so much!

The painting was oil and just sap green, ultramarine blue, white and black...it's just mixing them together that makes the different shades and tints.

Azure: my daughter and her husband bought the series on DVD! Shame the writer of the show passed, he had something there. Have you seen the movie "serenity"? It was made from his synopsis for the show! Scary and horrorible at times but good.
