Hello "MrsDiva" all I can say is hang-in-there. Sometimes there is going to be a week here and there where nothing shows on the scale and the boom you see a drop. I know it must be very disappointing not seeing anything the first week. I am curious - How did the center start you off...... Did you do any of the Take Off or Fast Forward? I think before you let it upset you any further you should speak with one of the counselors at your center if you are going to one. Also, I provided a link down below of a recent post from a person who was asking the same question. If you can not get to the post I am sending you I will try to resend it.

When you signed up did you tell them that you will be exercising 4 or more times a week? There is a plan for those that exercise alot and if you did not tell them and you're not on that plan you might be taking in too little food. Also your body is probably in shock and holding on to everything. Keep at it and you will see something happening soon. I know its disappointing to work so hard and not see any results but stick with it, sometimes it could take 2 weeks or more to see a real nice loss. Were you exercising as much before you started LAWL or did you start the exercise when you started? I noticed when i started exercising last time i was on LAWL my weight loss slowed down because it had to learn how to deal with the change. Your body is confused right now and is holding on to everything until it figures out whats going on, hope that makes sense. Anyway GL and i hope you see some results soon because then it would be more motivation to go on.

Hey there Mrs. D...

Everyone's body is different and there's something going on that may be slowing you down a bit..

That said, your body is reacting to the fact that you're changing your eating habits.. Sometimes after a successful Take Off, the body reacts by retaining water and holding on to anything it can..

Also, you will eventually learn to get into a groove with when you go in for your weigh ins and stuff like that.. When you go in absolutely affects the results on the scale.. Try to develop a way to get in there at the same time, each time, with the same clothes if possible.

The amount you exercise also absolutely affects your weigh ins. Make sure your counselors know what you're doing, because it may affect the plan you're on. Also.. When you work out, follow each session with a lean protein and a good carb, like fruit.. That maintains the calorie burn.

You also need to channel that frustration to something else and not give in to the temptation emotion eating provides.

We who have been on the program a while have realized that the feeling we get by NOT giving in to the junk food far outweighs the momentary pleasure we get from the taste of it.

Also, don't get back on track tomorrow.. Get back on track NOW.. Screwing up on one meal isn't the end of the world.. Make up for it the rest of the day be having only light proteins and get in all your fruit and veg portions.. Sounds like you're done with starches for the day anway.

The iron pills may have something to do with it too, but I don't know..
