Why diet?

Why not make some permanent changes instead? As you have very well learned, the problem with "diet" mentalities is that we think as soon as we've lost some weight, we can stop "dieting" and go right back to how we used to be. How we used to be only got us fat & unhappy! It won't keep us maintaining a healthy weight.

I usually suggest to take one thing this week, and just change that. Doesn't have to be big... could just be drinking water in place of sodas or something of that nature... but make that change permanent.

I am fighting the same thing. I've recently cut out soda-but I only drank diet before so we'll see if that helps. I'm trying to incorporate 4-5 servings of fruits and veggies each day-hoping that by filling up on those-I wont be as hungry for other things!
