Default Killings at my alma mater

Just learned that there was a shooting at NIU...my alma mater. My brother works at the university, and his is fine. It hits home though...

I just saw it on Yahoo. Glad to hear that your brother is good. I'm sure that's always a thought when you hear about something happening.

Sorry to hear about this. I was actually chatting on-line with a friend at Virginia tech when the shooting there happened. I know how traumatized she was by the whole thing. I'm glad to hear your loved ones are safe.

It's said that the guy was a good student at Urbana-Champaign but just got off his meds for a few weeks and went ballistic. He had no prior criminal record, and legally bought two of the guns he used. He was also led a criminal justice group on campus. Coming off stuff like Prozac can really screw with people's heads, but dang. It's always the person you least expect holding the gun. It could be anyone, at anytime, because in most cases people never suspect the person doing it could possibly do such a thing. Crazy, huh? It could lead to universities no longer being open places anymore.
