Default Boy OH Boy....what's next?????

alright ladies does this stink or does this stink????

I have my last NUT appointment on Wednesday (2-13). They will be going over what I am to expect after surgery and of course what I'll be eating.

My DH just told me that his work is going to "possibly" changing their healthcare provider!!!!

I am so...sooooo....SSOOOOOO close I asked my surgeons office and they told me that I'm looking at a mid to middle of March surgery date. Hopefully they will wait until after I have my operation.

I was shocked that this is happening. Please pray that they wait until AFTER i have my surgery to change health plans.

Blessings to everyone

Chrissy

I'm guessing but it shouldn't be a problem hopefully. I would imagine they'll do a transition of records (including approvals) from one company to the other.

Hey, cheree could be right! Still, I will send thought waves to the person at his work...."Wait til April!"

Sorry, love. I think we are still stuck on the roller coaster.

Hugs for you,

Angela

My biggest hope is they wait until AFTER I have my surgery....then they have my permission to change...NOT now!!

If the must change....then I pray that everything I have done will just transfer and approval with be smooth and easy.

Oh, I'm not liking this rollercoaster ride..........

work on getting your surgery date moved up! from the sound of it, nothing has been decided at your husband's job, and the 'effective date' is usually 30 days after the signing - so i THINK you'll be ok, but just to be sure, lean on your surgeon as much as possible to MOVE THE DATE!!!!!

I have asked to have my surgery date moved. They told me that he is totally booked and the only way that they will be able to change my date is "IF" someone cancels their surgery.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I really need people to talk to right now. I think DH is getting sick of me "rolling things over and over" and wanting to talk about this. He says that he understands my frustrations BUT....he's a guy...and he does not really have a weight problem.....so I don't know if he "really" gets it...

Thanks again ladies....HUGS TO ALL!!

Default You should be fine

Like the others have said, its not something that usually happens overnight. You should slide in just fine. My Surgery is March 4th and it will be here before I know it. Hang in there and sending out additional positive vibes and thoughts your way. By the way, where is your surgery?

When is the end of the fiscal year for your husband's employer? Every time we switched it was at the change of the fiscal year.

You can also call the HR or benefits dept. and ask when this will happen if it does.

If your surgery date is going to be in March, I bet you're OK, unless DH has been holding our on you, like because he forgot, like my DH.

My surgery will be on my insurance and I've been toying with the idea of looking into changing employers, but I'll have to wait a year I guess. But it'll be better to interview if I'm lighter, right?

to answer some of your question. As far as I know from what my DH is being told this "change" if it does happen will at the "earliest" happen March 1st.

I know my hubby gave me the paperwork for the new benefits the day that he got them.

I don't know when their fiscal year ends.

I thought about COBRA but I was reading and because my hubbie will be offered different insurace from a different company I will not qualify for COBRA. I did jot down the 1-800 number and I'm going to call them tomorrow to see what they say.....just incase I'm wrong.

I'll let you guys know what I find out.

Tomorrow I go to my NUT appointment. I hope that she has good news for me....maybe a February cancelation?!?!?!
