Good morning!!!

Hope you all slept well. Getting ready to take DS to the hospital for his Upper GI. Not sure if he will go to school after that. It's been a rough week and I hate it when my little guy is not feeling good.

Gotta jump in the shower so I'll catch up later!!

Everyone have a FABULOUS day!!!

Morning Everyone,
Two more days until the weekend. Yeah! I am looking forward to my weekend. This week has just seemed like an especially long one with the kids at school. Hope everyone has a wonderful day! I have to work until 6 this evening with the afterschool program. Then I have enough time to come home, change my clothes and go bowling with some friends. So it might be a late night for me.
Renee hope all goes well with your ds's GI. Saying a prayer for you guys.
I guess I must go and get my shower so I can get ready for work. Don't think my kids would like it if I showed up sweaty and stinky.
Have a great day everyone! Hope you stay op and get some exercise in.
Take care,
Kerry

Mornin' All,

I woke up starving this AM....at 5:00! Of course one kid was already in bed with me and the other came in around 5:30. I got up shortly after that and waited for DH to get out of the shower so I could pee. I'm on my second cup of coffee, but haven't eaten anything yet. Just can't eat before coffee, makes my tummy feel funny.

The plumber came and replaced my old main shut off with a new valve handle. No more leak there. Still have the leak in the master bath, but that's because the "nipple" as he called it, that sticks out of the wall under the sink (cold water side) is stripped. It would not be covered, so he told me how to get it off and replace it. If DH is real careful, he should be able to do it himself. So hopefully he can do that tonight. I asked him about some other projects too, and his rate is $95/hr.!! DH shoulda gone to plumbing school!

I've spoken with my recruiter and she's looking for something for me, but didn't have anything currently. Just a position at my old job from a few years ago...for the HR person. I wouldn't work for her in a million years.

I'm going to drop the boys off at daycare this AM, then probably go visit my mom.

Renee, hope all goes well for DS today!

Kerry, have fun bowling! I haven't done that in years!

Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone!

Sounds like a lot of you are up and at it already!
Kerry - hope you survive your long day. Have fun with your friends tonight!
Renee - let us know how the test goes. Am thinking about you and DS.
Lauren - I didn't know that plumbers made that much - wow!

DH is home for awhile this a.m. as he has a meeting to attend offsite. Of course, I am the one up with DS early and DH is still sleeping...
Not sure of what we will do today. I ran a short errand yesterday to get out of the house. Maybe today we will do the Salvation Army donation drop off. I would like to get those boxes out of the house and make more more room for boxes to come in from the garage!!
I think I am going to go make some breakfast before my workout comes on...hip hop dance again. Maybe my moves have improved since last time???

Renee, I hope the tests go well and your little one feels better soon.
Kerry, enjoy the bowling. I haven't done that in years!
Lauren, geesh, plumbers are expensive! Maybe I should have been a plumber lol.
DD, I hope you have a great day.

I haven't had a chance to check in with you guys for a few days. DH has been off and on Tuesday after a tour of a preschool he declared a family fun day and we spent the day out having fun with our dd. It was a blast! Then yesterday we spent the day running around town looking for a handheld navigation system so that we can do geocaching. Our new family hobby! I did get in all my workouts this week. I am taking today off from working out. After looking at the calendar, I saw that I haven't taken a day off from working out in more than 2 weeks, no wonder my body feels exhausted. I'll hit the workout hard tomorrow, but today, I will rest! I hope everyone has a great day. Today I have to run some errands and make a trip to the grocery store for a few things... fun!

Geocaching: people place little boxes/cans (cache) with a log book and sometimes trinkets or special coins in them and they hide them somewhere. (in the woods, in a field, in public places, etc.) and then they post the GPS coordinates on a special geocaching website. Then people can look up the coordinates on their GPS system and locate the cache and sign the log book and leave a trinket or not and then the person reports that they found it. It's really neat and there are almost 2000 caches within a 50 mile radius of our home. Geocaching is just a fun hobby that is worldwide. There are caches in Europe, Asia, pretty much everywhere. Thought it would be a fun way to have day out as a family exploring.

Mornin'!

Heather ~ just remembered that my DH and DS weren't into geocaching a few years back. I forgot all about it. The girls and I went with them on a few trips and DH had the kids sign the log books. It was a lot of fun.

Holli ~ just finished reading your post from last night. I've missed your posts. Your migraine sounds awful and I'm glad that you did go to the doctor. Fingers crossed that your head is much better this morning...

I am being incredibly lazy this morning. DH took the kids to school this morning and so I'm still puttering around here in my jammies and working on my third cup of coffee. I have a list of things to do around the house today but haven't started on one of them. Time to go jump in the shower and that will energize me a bit. Hope that everyone has a great day ~ Joan

Mornin everyone,

Renee, hope the mri went well.

Heather, the Geocahcing sounds like a neat idea. DH has one of those GPS things. I can't work the thing to save my life. I'll tell him about it maybe we could try it sometime.

Okay all, I'm off to the grocery store today. Ran out of bottled water, dog food, cereal. Thank goodness its payday.

Talk later, Alicia

We are back from the hospital and he did soooooooooo good. He had the radiologist and techs cracking up. I brought him home because he had taken none of his meds since he couldn't eat or drink after midnight. Not to mention, he had to drink an adult dose of barium and they want him to spend the entire day drinking lots of fluids so it can get out of his system faster. It's not like he can drink at his desk all day.

Kerry - I love bowling!! Have fun!!

Lauren - Hope you have a better day and your recruiter finds something great for you!

DD- Get your groove on girl!!!

Heather - My family would love that!! Is there a website to find one in a particular area?

Pam- Have a great day!!

Lois - Have fun at the grocery store!

I'll check in later!!

The website for geocaching that we use is www.geocaching.com All you have to do is put in your zip code and it will list the geocaches near you.

Renee ~ so glad that DS did so well. Keep us posted on what is going on!

Alicia ~ payday today? I wish!

Did anyone else read that the rebates check idea has been suspended? Oh man! I felt like a little kid when I read that. Dangle it in front of me and then pull the rug out from under my feet LOL.

Thanks Heather!! It sounds like sooo much fun!!

Joan-I did hear about the rebates on the news this morning, but I haven't been to excited to get it since I found out it goes against our 2008 tax return for next year. Whenever they send the checks out, mine is going in the bank.

Afternoon Ladies,
My dh called me this morning with some scary news. A teacher in Portsmouth,Ohio was shoot in her classroom by her husband today. That is only about an hour from where I live. That is too close to home. All the teachers and staff at my school are glad that our school is on lock down all the time. Just hope that no one sees this on the news and decides to be a copycat. Please keep the teacher, her family, coworkers, students and her friends in your prayers.
Heather that sounds like a lot of fun. I might have to look that up on line and see if there is any around our area. That would be a great family hobby.
Alicia have fun at the grocery store.
Renee glad that your son was good at the hospital. Hope he gets all the meds out of his system soon.
Hi to everyone else. Need to go and get my kids ready for social studies. Chat with you all later.
Take care,
Kerry
