You've LOST 20 LBS!!! That is FREAKING AMAZING! In only 4 months? Do you know how long I have been on this board? Almost 3 YEARS! And I've only lost and gained back the same 10 lbs! You're just getting started, sweetie! We all falter sometimes but it's the real troppers like you that get back up and start again. YOU CAN and WILL DO IT!

First of all, you've lost 20 lbs by your ticker. That's amazing!

You CAN do well. Put your health in the forefront of your mind. Are you continuing small changes that you've made? If not, focus on one small thing at a time right now.

Are you planning out your days ahead of time? Are you exercising? Drinking some water? Are you making an effort not to buy diet sodas, and sweets if they're your weaknesses?

Keep talking to us. We all want to help you get healthier. But, we can't be there to make decisions for you. (Heck if other people could make those kinds of decisions for us we wouldn't be here in the first place ^^)

So, up you go, and back on track you get.

Hi Dumplin.

We can't depend on willpower or that initial excitement to keep us going throughout our weight loss journey and into maintenance. This is why so many New Years resolutions never make it past the first few weeks. You need a plan. What is your eating plan? What is your exercise plan? What is your plan for handling stress and emotions when they come....because they always do come! What is your plan for handling special events? Temptations? Celebrations?

Make a plan for yourself and get going! Yes, you may need to revise your plan as you go down this road, but the important thing is to just do it! One step at a time.

No problem sweetie. If you want to talk, just email me.

You definitely need to start drinking water, TODAY! Dropping soda is hard, the first few days are ****, but IT IS WORTH IT! I decided to stop drinking soda a couple of days ago and so far so good. I went to Walmart and brought a 2.2 liter jug (one is a full day's requirement for water intake) and I drink 2 of those everyday with sugar free flavor packets. Flavor packets (like Crystal Light, or any sugar free store brand) could work good for you. As for chocolate, I can relate to that two. But I've decided that I can and will have my chocolate. I eat one regular sized Hersheys with Almonds a day. And that's usually enough to satisfy me! Also, apples and other fruits work wonders! Exercise can be as simple as walking 30+ mins a day. I usually do WW but just being concious of what you are putting into your mouth and making healthier choices works too.

I am very much an emotional eater, so this can be tough. But, please be assured, it is very do-able. My best plan is to keep the junk out of my house. When I'm feeling depressed or anxious, my first reaction is to look for the starchy carbs to make myself feel better. Personally, I never felt the need to satisfy myself with fresh veggies. If the junk isn't in the house, then I can't self medicate with the sugar and I am forced to find other ways of relief.....like a hot bath with a good book, playing free games on Pogo and reading through the posts here on 3FC. I have also started to blog my thoughts, struggles, victories, etc. I've been told that writing this stuff down really helps and I've discovered that it does.

You can do this! Just remember that this is a marathon and not a sprint. This takes a lot of time, committment and tenacity.

Girly, I love the way you say things! I do the same thing . When I am depressed or anixious I want to eat sweets or carbs , thinking it will make me feel better meanwhile, it makes me feel so much terrible!!! I also love to take a hot bath maybe paint my nails, I could just treat myself to a little pampering. Hey ...... I really need to right down my plan and do more -EXERCISE {that once was a dirty word}

Don't get down on yourself!

I think, in the end, it all comes down to finding something you can stick with for life. My mom has been on WW for a while now and it works wonderfully for her. It doesn't work for me at all. We're all different; our bodies are different, our thought processes are different, our reactions to food are different. What works for one certainly does not work for all.

You've lost 20 pounds, which is an incredible accomplishment, and is more of a loss than many people out in the world will ever see. You've obviously been doing something right!

Trust me, I'm no stranger to stress. I agree with Rhonda whole-heartedly; take the junk OUT of your house! If it isn't there, you can't medicate with it. Try getting a pretty journal and using it to take down your thoughts when you're feeling stressed out or like eating without reason. Try some meditation or simple yoga poses. Curl up with a good book in a hot bubble bath, read a magazine, paint your toenails, take the dog for a walk. Write a letter to a friend or relative, make a pot of soup and take it to the homeless shelter, wash your car, lay in your driveway and make pictures out of the clouds.

You can do this! Food doesn't have to be the enemy.

You have a really pretty picture there girl ! I hope Texas is proud to have you!!! ..............You are so so right sister, I have thought the same thing myself. That low carb diet really really works for some people, first of all I can't do it, so I know it's not gonna work for me. I will also get me a pretty journal to log in my thoughts, my plan and maybe I will become more aware of what I am doing. I will start saying to myself ..........I am worth taking better care of...............Thank you so much Sister Sara I will talk to you later , keep me informed on your journey also!!!!!!!! Here' you some
