Packaged Meals and Clinics - Nutrisystem, Medifast, Jenny Craig, EtcFor support and questions about diet meal delivery programs, or weight loss clinics that offer prepackaged meals and products.
I am new to the board and I am on my second week of Deliciously Yours. So far I really like it for the most part -- I definitely love having food magically there when I need it, and I love that things are already portioned out. It kind of removes the willpower issue, you know? And although a few dishes have been totally disgusting, for the most part I think the food is very tasty and satisfying. And so far I have lost 2 glorious pounds.
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else here is doing it and if you'd like to be support buddies! My boyfriend and I are DY-ing together and that's really helpful. We have started a blog about our weight loss experience too, and that's a fun way for us to process our experiences (I can't link to it for you guys since it's my first post, but hopefully I can share it with you soon!).
I just started DY last Friday... so today was Day 4! And... I never thought I would feel like this (having only been hungry once in my life, when I first started Atkins) but... I think I might be hungry! I'm not sure, because it doesn't FEEL like it's really coming from my stomach... but I started getting anxious yesterday and today I'm REALLY antsy. Makes me worry a bit about the coming days, weeks, months *gulp*.
So, we're allowed unlimited raw salad, right? So what does that include? Raw carrots, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, sprouts, cucumber? (getting a little desperate here) I assume that doesn't include the fatty salad things, like avocado, olives, olive oil, coconut, nuts and such?
I was enjoying the food... until I read those posts about Pomace olive oil. That IS pretty gross... but what can I do? Either I'll get cancer and lose weight, or I'll keep gaining weight and have a heart attack.
The Beef & Bean Burrito with Spanish Rice was AMAZING. It really surprised me.
But how do people live like this? Just a few days ago I was all proud about how I would finally learn what a PROPER portion looks like... and eat the amount of food that the skinny people normally do. But WOW it really does get tough after a few days! Will I get used to it? Will my stomach adapt? Will I get less anxious/jittery with constant deprivation?
Hey Meyvhrin, sorry I missed your post here but I responded to you in the thread you started on this board! I'd love to connect with you and support each other. I actually cancelled my DY account today because of the insane messed-up-website/phone support/delivery issues!
Hi I would love to buddy up if you're still looking for someone. I haven't started it yet but am thinking of subscribing to the eDiets meal plan designed for Alli users. I've heard good things about eDiets food in general and figure if Glaxo partnered up with them on these meals it should be designed to be pretty effective, but I'm a bit nervous about some of these problems people had with delivery. I'd like to get confirmation that those issues are resolved now with the website upgrade complete.
Unfortunately I don't think the issues are resolved. I've cancelled my account with eDiets and am trying some different services now, actually. The eDiets food is quite good, but there are other providers that use food from the same factory (check out PurFoods -- that's the company that makes all the food as far as I can understand).
I certainly hope eDiets pulls it together, but until they do, I wouldn't recommend starting with them... you'll be walking into a crazy messed up quagmire situation!
Hi everyone,
I just started Ediets DY last week and so far so good. I was a little hesitant after reading the post about delivery but I got my first week on time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed about this weeks. I know that if I start having the problems that others are having I will be switching to purefoods meal delivery.

Hi.
You will start feeling better and be amazed at how much you might have been eating before. I know I was and I still am amazed at how little one can eat and still survive. But, you also may be in need of some extra calories. Try to get a hold of the dieticians and based on how much you weigh, you might have to supplement a bit. Good luck and you will grow used to it all.

My food started coming WAY too early, as I wasn't no where done with the previous delivery! The food does NOT last as long as they state it does.
