Default It has been too long...I'm back!

Hi Ladies!!
I have been gone for quite awhile. It's so good to see familiar faces still! My oldest is getting married in Sept. so I've made that my goal date. Atleast I'm still where I was the last time I posted! But I need to get serious.....portion control is my BIGGEST enemy. I KNOW if I ate the way I do but cut my portions I'd lose like crazy! I know the trick for eating out (order a box and cut it in half) although I haven't DONE it yet!! But what about at home eating with the kids?? Any suggestions......?? Chico?? I just eat and eat and eat!!

Renee

Hi Renee!! back!! You can portion control eating at home with the kids. I live all by myself, so I just don't keep those kid-friendly snacks around, BUT I'm a nanny, and there's TONS of that stuff at work. And what I do, when I want some (cheez-its and teddy grahams usually do me in) is I usually take half the recommended amount and I count it out (or measure it out). Then I stick a piece of gum (or a fire ball) in my mouth just in case my brain says "it wasn't enough! more please!" And that usually works.

Hi, Renee! back! I don't think we've ever spoken before, but it's great to have you back

When I babysat for my sister and my niece was just a baby, I had a big problem with munching. My advice would be to portion yourself out a reasonable amount of food, put it on a smaller plate and use a smaller fork, and stick with it. Drink lots of water. Fill up with fruits, vegetables, a green salad, a water based soup. I still measure EVERYTHING...my measuring cup and spoons are invaluable to me

Best wishes! Please keep posting
