Welcome racerwife!! I'm sorry to hear that WW is not working for you. It's the only thing that helps me, but everyone's body does not react the same.

I look forward to getting to know you!

Hi Racer
Welcome to the board!
I woudl love to be friends with you! I'm also doing my own low carb thing. I have never tried WW.

I'm a mom of 3 girls ages 7, 4 and 10 months and hoping to lose weight so I can try for the boy!! I'm a SAHM for the moment as I'm on mat leave and planning to extend it until my baby turns 18 months then I will see where to go and I am working on my masters in education so it sounds liek we have a lot in common!!

Default Busy mom!

Hey Racerwife!
I'm wanting to "buddy up" with other newbies as well. Good for you for even trying WW...I KNOW for sure that I don't have the will power to count points. I'm hoping that eating things that I feel good about along with exercise does the trick. I'm 30 & married for 6 years to the sweetest guy. I have 2 kids from before, an 11 year old boy Corbin & my little Madisyn girl turns 8 this Sunday. I'm an insurance agent by day & then I wait tables part time on evenings & weekends. It'd be really nice to be in touch w/ other SUPER BUSY moms...maybe pass helpful hints back & forth....Not doing the low carb thing per se here, but am going to try Spaghetti squash instead of pasta this week. How will we get things like this to appeal to our families?
Best of luck to you!
Jodi

Jodi I like your idea of buddying up! Maybe we could start a newbies buddy up thread!! I know for me I need the accountability so I coem on here a few times a day!! What type of exercise are you doing? I have just started walking my goal is to walk 3 hours a week. So far this week I have doen 1.5! Do you have a recipe for the spaghetti squash? My kids love squash so I'm sure they woudl liek that. Have you tried qwhole wheat pasta? My kids can't tell the difference. I rarely buy it though because ot is so much more expensive and when feeding a family of five it adds up!

welcome! this site is definitely a wonderful place to get support and advice! i'm also an education person, pre-k through 3, but ohio isn't really a good place to be with that degree at the moment, not enough jobs and too many teachers! i'm getting ready to go back to school for nursing.
