Smile New to site & not really sure where I fit

Hi!
last year, I went on a diet & fitness routine, I lost 20 lbs in 4 months...Then I got bored & lonely So I quit. I've gained 10lbs back & that 20 that I lost...was not even my goal. I currewntly weigh about 160...I WANT 125, as I'm only 5-2". BUT I don't even know where I should be.
SO FAR...
Cleaned out my kitchen & went shopping for better choices
Been walking 2-3 nights a week
Joined Yoga
Tried 3 bean taco recipie from this site Was very good!
The real motivation for me... my 11 yaer old son is overweight. I want him to be happy & healthy & I NEED to set a better example!
This is my 1st post....
Thanks for "listening"!
Jodi

First - Jodi!!!!
Looks like you've made some great changes. You know what? You still lost 10 lbs You'll lose more! If you're confused about a healthy weight range it's best to see your doctor if possible.

There many support groups, so why not start there? There are groups divided by weight & weight to lose by age, and others! However, EVERYONE is welcome to post in any group. All are welcome all over the site. Find someplace you find comfortable & post, but don't just stick to one place

While you're making changes for yourself, you may be able to find healthier dinners to serve the family (if you make the meals) which will certainly help out your 11 year old in the process.

Definitely stick around & let us know about your progress. We're all very eager to give support & advice when needed.

Best of luck!!

Welcome and good luck. Congratulations on the 10 pound loss. 125 pounds is a reasonable goal for 5'2" . I am 5'2" also. A healthy range for that height is about 110-136. you are the only one to know how you will feel and look the best,I personally think 110 is to light for me.It looks like you have made some good choices, you can do it. and you will be helping your son, also.

Welcome deary, I am a newbie myself. I've been battling my weight since I was little and then in my teens it evened out and I was about 150 and then I had my son and well, last time I was at the doctor's I weighed 238, darn near 100 pounds

Anyways, healthy eating is good for every member of the household, fat or thin. Not only do we have to watch the weight, but high cholestoral and diabetis don't care if you are fat or thin, so we need to eat healthy for those reasons too. My husband has a hard time realizing that,

As for you not knowing what weight range, I am almost 5'5", so I am a little taller than you, but weight range isn't just age and height, it's also body build. I'm bigger boned, so my lowest should never be less than 135. I'd go to the doctor and find out exactly what range he/she would like you to be in and shoot for that weight range.

Welcome and goodluck. This site is great for support and I hope that you find it as wonderful as I have
