Hello

  • Hi, My name is Amy and I have struggled with my weight for 16 years. Since I became pregnant with my oldest child. Well I have decided enough is enough. I am going to get to a healthy weight this year!!!! First of all I need to stop stress eating and boredom eating. I know it will not be easy especially since I was diagnosed with IR and PCOS 5 years ago. Metformin worked for about 6 months and then the weight came back. Now I am trying the tried and true eating less calories and moving more. I can walk but I can't run due to a reconstructed ACL. Maybe once I get down to my goal weight that will happen.
So anyway I am currently 198 and need to get to 130 for a healthy BMI. Right now I am setting a goal of 180 though. I think it might be better if I go with mini goals for now.
So that is my story in a nutshell.
I just wanted to say hi!!!!
  • Hey Amy!

Have you found our "PCOS/Insulin Resistance" forum in the "Dieting with Obstacles" are yet? There are lots of folks in similar situations, so head on over and check it out.

Mini-goals are a great way to get started...seems like you're on the right track! Can't wait to get to know you!
  • Thanks!!
Thanks and yes I did find the PCOS forum. I am excited to be part of this group.
