This is another "search for the biological parent" story. Has an interesting twist to it.

Wow. I do not know my biological father, but I had always wondered if fate allowed us to meet and not really realize we were who we were.

Sounds like a movie plot for sure. Very interesting.

Everytime I hear stories like this I start humming to myself "It's A Small World After All"!

I found out this past summer that the person I've believed to be my father may not be, I still haven't done anything about it. Don't know if I ever will!

Jackie, that's a tough one. Do you have a good relationship with him? Did he raise you? If you feel that this person is "dad" because he deserves to be, then so be it. He is!

But, there could be medical reasons you might want to know.

Sorry cbmare, my computer took a dump on me last week! Finally up and running again

My "dad" didn't raise me, I didn't meet him til I was 18. First started talking to him when I was 16, about a year after I was placed in foster care. We have an okay relationship, we aren't close by any means. I think I hurt him last summer when I found all this out, I was told that he knew about all this and I was miffed. Turns out he didn't know. SO, I am working on repairing the damage

And I do worry a bit about the medical stuff too, mostly cause of my daughter.

There was another parent/child reunion like this. A man went in search of his biological mother & it turned out they were co-workers at Lowes:

Seems like he had very supportive adoptive parents. I'm glad this one had a good ending, too.
