Cool Newbee who has a question already : )

I am new to this site. I just had a baby last Sept and only have 13 lbs to get back to my pre-prego weight. However, I have a question for all who have time to answer.... I fit back into my old pants that I wore before I was prego and I fit better in them then when I was 13 lbs lighter. I work out at curves about 4 or 5 times sometimes even 6 times a week, and I have been doing this every week since the end of Sept. I haven't lost much weight though but I average an inch a week loss.... I don't get it, how is this possible? I even changed my eating habits and I'm still not really losing much...help?
Thanks!

Most likely you gained muscle and lost fat. Pound for pound, muscle takes up less space than fat! Congrats!

In that many months, you probably did not gain very much muscle--but the muscle you have has become firmer and stronger--in other words, better toned. This makes a difference in inches.

Most people seem unable to lose weight through exercise alone. Restricting food with a healthy weight loss plan is also needed.

Welcome to 3FC!

It sounds like you're doing all the right things. Don't go by the scale, and keep up the good work!

Yes, if your body is saying you're smaller and more toned than before you got pregnant, you probably are...even if the scale disagrees! Strength training helps you get smaller sizes at higher weights (because muscle is very compact, packing the pounds into a smaller space.

Don't worry so much! Just keep going.
