Smile I'm new here

Hello all;

I just found out about this web site after reading about it in a popular magazine. I am looking forward to getting to know people who are trying to make themselves a healthier person by losing weight. My hopes are to lose around 150 pounds. I have a long road ahead of me but with the help of other people who are working towards the same goal, I know I can do it.

I've read some of the stories and looked at some people's before and after pictures and I really want to get started on my new life.

Hope to hear from a lot of you out there soon

Hey Karsta!

Feel free to ask any questions you have about weight loss here. We are not professionals or doctors, but we do have some experience, collectively.

Be sure to visit the 100 lb. Club also, if you haven't found it already!

Hi Karsta. I too started this long old road with 150+ pounds to lose. I found 3FC right around the time I reached 60 pounds lost. I was getting lonely for someone to talk about "diet stuff" with. My Hubby & kids are supportive but not really "into" it. Most of my friends are over weight and don't want to talk about it. Basically I was in this alone and needed support. 3FC has filled that void. I think you'll like it here.

Right now, you might be feeling overwhelmed. A normal weight might seem unreachable, but please don't give up. You have made a step in the right direction. Something that helped me get started was to remember that every day I put it off until tomorrow, was another day of being fat. One day at a time...and in some cases one minute at a time. You can do it!

ETA: Oops, I just noticed that Karsta started this thread in January 2008!!! I hope wherever she is, she managed to lose weight and become healthy.
