Once again my knucklehead nephew and I got kicked out of the house by Angie and her teacher friends. It happens once a year...we get kicked out of our own house (actually we can stay...in our rooms...it just gets too noisey for us)...
They play BUNKO every third Wednesday of each month, rotating homes.
Knucklehead and I walked down to the sports bar and had pizza and wings...beer for me and water for him.
Is it fair? Would you....do you....do that to your guys?
My DH and I have all mutual friends. There are only 2 or 3 friends that we each have that the other doesn't normally hang out with. So if we have anyone over, we both end up hanging out with them.
I've never really understood the allure of Bunko. I've played it a couple of times (my cousins from Orange county usually bring a game at Thanksgiving for everyone to play).
But I do have meetings here at the house from time to time. I don't kick anyone out, but often my DH leaves anyway. The kids usually stay in their rooms glued to the computer anyway.
I'm sure you had more fun at the sports bar anyway!!
I have my girlfriends over once in a while for dinner and just to catch up. While I don't "require" that my husband and son leave, they usually choose to do that since yeah, us ladies do tend to get quite loud and rowdy while we're together. I've never even heard of Bunko before my son became friends with a kid whose father was in the military and from the mainland, that was about 4 years ago--and that was just in passing, I have no idea what the game is or how it's played (because I grew up on a rock in the Pacific ocean ). My girlfriends and I have been known to have Guitar Hero challenges though
Actually I usually stay up in my room with a pizza or whatever Angie makes for the night. All the gals are friends of mine too...I am never kicked out...it just gets too loud around here for a few hours...you know...women and "drinks"...playing games for $$$.....as for me...never played the game!
I don't know if it is a totally brainless game, Gary. The only times I've played it, I've had a few drinks and I got totally confused! The one time that I was sober, it was a lot easier!!!
Ever played pigs? I have a couple times, can't really remember the rules, but that is a brainless game for sure.
Bunko is a brainless game, for sure. Allison, it must have been the drinks. When I started playing my friend said that "you didn't need a brain cell" to play it.
I am in a bunko group and really it is simply an excuse to get together with my friends regularly and sometimes (not often) I win a prize. So, basically, I pay $10 a month to chat with my friends...
