Tips? I personally had success with calorie counting. I registered an account on
http://www.fitday.com and tracked *everything* I ate (precise measurements of condiments included) and logged in my exercise. By creating an approximate deficit of 1,000 calories every day (and messing up plenty anyway!), I still managed to lose 40 pounds in 5 months.
Now, even though I have lost the weight, I still track my food and exercise just like I did when I was losing. I'll never get out of this habit because it is very important to me to be conscious of every little thing I put in my mouth.. not to mention the fact that it is easy to understimate your caloric intake!
