Default Do You Need Prayers?

OK ~ many of you know I joke around a lot....but I do have a serious side.

My church is about to start a very large and expensive building project. As we go FOWARD IN FAITH we will be doing many things to help people as they see what our project will be able to do for them. One of the things we will be doing as a church body is a 24 hour prayer vigil and prayer walk.

If there is anything at all you would like us to pray for you may post it here or private message me. I will guarantee your prayers will be prayed for by myself, Angie or other members of our congregation...probably by many over the 24 hour period.

The prayer vigil and prayer walk will be from 6:00pm Tuesday Jan. 22 to Wed Jan. 23 6:00pm.

Angie will be leading the walk on Wed. at 4:00pm and I will be leading prayers in the sanctuary at 4:00am on the same day.

God Bless you ~ Gary

Well I would like to be prayed for...the good Lord knows I live practically on my knees anyway. I would like to ask for emotional healing from my 2nd tri m/c last June. that, in addition to the other m/c, and two robberies, has left me virtually empty. It's so hard for me to give to others like I enjoy doing, because I need to be filled up first. (ever tried getting water from a dry cup LOL) 2007 was such a tragedy for me, and it is my prayer that was Satan's last ditch on me cause he knew the Lord was going to pour our His blessings in 2008 I can dream, right? I just want His favor on my life, and some blessings and healing, after such a harsh year. James and I walked faithfully with Him through it all, and James even accepted the Lord as a result Anyway, I'm not ashamed to post all this as you can see. I think this is extremely sweet of you, you really touched my heart in a major, major way by your offer. I just can't thank you enough. Thank you and God bless you Gary.

You make me feel very, very guilty that the kids and I didn't make it to church today

Could you fit my Aunt Marietta's family in? She passed away at 62 years old on December 26 from brain cancer (breast cancer that progressed to spine cancer and then to her brain ). She was like a mother to me and I know how much I miss her -- I can't imagine how her three girls feel (having more difficulty with the "why god did this to a wonderful, wonderful person" but I guess I understand.)

This is something neat though -- her youngest (my closest cousin) on Christmas eve left her mom's house to find a perfect angel in snow on the trunk of her car -- pretty cool!!

How is the fundraising for the church going?

HOLLI I am so sorry. I have had you in my prayers already and you most certainly will be added to our prayer vigil.

SHELBY, it is certainly not my intent to make any one feel guilty about going to church! Our relationship is a personal journey. We have yet to make our commitments for the project so I am not sure. That will come after the prayer walk/vigil.

Heavenly Father I ask that you ease the pain that has been running through Holli and James lives this last year. Help them to focus on you and know that you are in control and you will, in your time, turn their pain into good! I also ask that you be with Shelby's family as they go through the healing of their Aunt's passing. I ask you to show her girls that you are not the one that brings harm to us, but you are the one to comfort us through it. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Holli and Shelby, you'll be in my prayers too.

Gary, I always appreciate prayers for me, my DD B. and DH J.; Thanks so much!

We all have been struggling with anxiety, worries and depression. We need more harmony and prosperity. We are working together as a family and are asking for all the Spiritual support and help we can get.

Would you please pray for me and the relationship that I have with my 15 yr. old daughter. I don't know what's wrong, but she seems to be angry quite frequently and it seems directed at me. Tonite she told me just to never speak to her again. Right now I'd like to go have a talk with her, but I can't handle another battle after what we've already had this evening and feel we both need some cooling off time. The big blow up tonite was cause I asked her to take the dogs out for their walk because I was sick at my stomach.

Also, please have your congregation send up prayers for all our service men and women who provide the freedom that we all enjoy. My son will soon be joining them overseas. Deep down I think this may be a big part of what is bothering his sister.

Gary, may your congregation be blessed beyond expectation for reaching out to others this way! You all will be in our prayers.

We have a friend who was stationed with my husband at the Air Force Honor Guard in DC who was diagnosed with heart issues a couple years ago. He's 30 years old, on the transplant list, and spends most of his time in the hospital because his heart is too weak for him to even live a normal, sedentary life. He has a wonderful wife and two young boys, who obviously want to see him get better! Praying for a transplant is always tough because it means someone else has to die, so this is a tough time for all of them.

Also, I know a lot of folks are praying for peace in the middle east but the situation in North Korea could also use our prayer attention.

Again, thank you Gary for lifting all of our prayers and concerns up!

Kara

Seems that you are going to be very busy, while I would like many things in my life I am sure God will give them in time. So today I will pray for you that your walk and building project go well for you.

HI there-

Would you please pray for my family as my parents go through a rough divorce. We all need strength so this does not ruin us all. Also, that I have the strength to move on in my own life.

Many thanks

I would just like to ask you to pray for one of my bosses. Friday her husband passed away from cancer. He was very young (in his 40's) and they have young kids (in their early 20's and late teens).

Gary,

Would you add my brother, Bert, to your prayer list. He is mentally ill and struggles mightily.

Thank you for this thread. Not only will you be praying for us, but I (as well as others I'm sure) will as well.

Please pray for my hubby who is having a rough time at work. He used to love his job and it is so bad now he actually got hives last night. He has been getting headaches which he never has and his chest has been hurting.

Praying for my daughter and her new baby would be good....she is just starting to begin praying again herself and is talking about taking the baby to church.

I am so happy to be able to pray for you. I encourage all of you to jump right in and pray for us too!

ONE THING I WANT YOU ALL TO KNOW ~ as it seems to be, rightly so, one of our number one concerns. My church prays every single week for the men and women in our military. We have many members and family from our church in the military and we have lost some dear boys/men in Iraq.

All of your prayers will be added to my list for the prayer vigil...know that for certain!
