Default New and looking for a fresh start for 2008

I am completely new to this site,in fact I have never been to a weight loss forum before. I thought that since I was taking a different approach to weight loss I would go all out and join a support group.

Currently I am 234lbs, down 4 from the beginning of my journey one week ago. It is the highest I have ever been in my life and even though I never "thought" I looked like I was over 200lbs, the realization has hit me that pictures don't lie and I am much larger than I was capable of seeing in the mirror.

Time to make a change for the better. I am tired of the restrictions that I have put on my everyday life because of my embarassment of my weight. I won't even get life insurance to take care of my family if something happens to me because I don't want them to weigh me.

I hope to get to know some of you during this process and gain some much needed support.

Bev

welcome newstart33! this is a great site. i would suggest that you browse around and find a regular group you feel comfortable with. it's good to check in daily with diet buddies for advice and encouragement. my group is called SexyChicks. you're welcome to check us out if you want. http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=127730

good luck! you can do this!

Hey newstart, and

Do you have a plan you are looking to follow on your journey? If so, we probably have a forum for it, so look around and settle in.

Can't wait to get to know you better! Keep posting!
