I understand this is a statewide storm that is hitting us today. I'm concerned about floods in So Cal after all those fires. They are predicting that we will have hurricane force winds in the North Bay by noon and move on down towards us as the afternoon progresses.
Please be safe and don't go out if you don't have to do so. I will probably have to alter my way home because the expressway is already flooded in Mt. View.
It's bad. My old apartment (two buildings down from where I live currently) has a tree through the window, and the power keeps flickering. It is INSANE.
I am trying not to leave...it may put a cramp in my exercise schedule today, but I am NOT going out to the gym.
Don't blame you. You don't need the additional workout of trying to remain upright in a parking lot and dodging debris. Just put in your old WATP and let Leslie run you ragged.
I'm glad you don't live in that old building. Does Sarah have to go out in this mess?
The winds are pretty wacky. Hopefully it calms down in time to go to the gym this evening. If not tomorrow can work double duty. At least we still have power...trees are down all over the place.
Wow. Things are definitely worse up north! We had clouds all day yesterday and although it was clear when I came into work, it is cloudy already. We're expecting high winds also. I don't know how much rain we'll get here in the desert, but there are times when we are deluged. Take care everyone!
The street my office is on is flooded worse than I've ever seen. I hope my ground floor office stays dry. So far so good. This is a great day to stay in bed. If only.
One of the storm drains on my building is dumping water oddly, under the floor of my apartment, so I've soaked three towels worth of water coming up through my floor. Oy.
It is 6:00pm here...hasn't hit it us yet...they keep saying it is coming....Angie is picking my son and daughter in law up from San Diego Airport....she should be home with them before it gets here...
I'm thinking of all of you! We just finished a 10 day vacation in Yosemite and the bay area. Our kids live in Oakland. You are all in my prayers - stay safe and keep us posted as to how you are doing!
There was a bad threat of flash flooding on the freeway, so we were let out of work early. I can't believe they shut down roads and everything. I feel like today is a 'rain day' as opposed to the 'snow days' from Minnesota. Crazy.
