Ready to do this

  • Heya everyone! I came to this site to check out various dieting tips and decided to plant my fat but down and stick around

My weight has gradually increased since the birth of my 3rd child (he is now 5). It was holding at a healthy 130 and now is 205 . My decision to start a program now stems from health concerns and because my very perceptive 5 y/o son told me that I was very pretty but too fat

Anyway - that about sums up why I am here. I am looking forward to meeting others and reading the success stories.
  • Welcome sara08! This is a great place to be, im sure you will find this a great place of support.
  • Hello Sara and welcome to the site. Good luck and be sure o keep posting (it's one of the keys to success)
  • Welcome! That's a rather blunt kid you have there. =)
  • Hi Sara. I'm new also, have 3 children, and have struggled with my weight since my last pregnancy. I , unfortunately, eat my stress. So, this time around, i have decided to make some changes in how I go about keeping the weight off. First, I only worry about TODAY. I was faced with a piece of pie, that I decided just wasn't worth it today. Tomorrow could bring a different scenerio, but I cant worry about that today. The saying, "one day at a time" is really helping me make positive changes this time around. Also, the food I bring into the house has changed. The children are now left with healthy choices, so I am not left with unhealthy choices. And honestly, they should be eating healthy. I am also trying to get some form of activity in during each day. I just went for a hike in the woods, with my boyfriend and two dogs. Yeah, I was freezing, but I got my TODAY activity done. So, I encourage anyone reading this to give it a try. It takes a while to get the mindset, cause we have lots going on, but it's a small change that makes a HUGE impact.
Best wishes to all for a healthy New Year!
    Sandy
