I too have tried over and over again to get control of my weight, only to give up soon after I start. I always figured it was so much work to diet and exercise, and so much easier to eat junk and sit on the couch. And while the physical effort is, indeed, greater at first, the mental and emotional effort to keep going on a healthy eating plan is much easier to deal with than the pit of despair that I have been in for most of my adult life. I have discovered for myself that making good choices is a self-motivating thing. If I can get through one day, one workout, even one
meal at a time, then I can get through the next one, and the next, and so on.
You didn't say if you have decided on a plan or not. I am on Weight Watchers Core plan, and having the support of a meeting to go to and the accountability of a weigh in really helps me a lot.
Best wishes for your journey and thanks for coming back again!
