Hope you're all having a great time! I'm here in Winchester, VA, with the gathering of the clan at my sister's house. But, I'm in a hotel - it's the only time i get away from the Alzheimer's mom, expcet when i go on business trips. everyone's doing well - thank goodness!
we have way too much food, but thank goodness most of it's healthy. i'll be making my grandmother's artichokes later [and artichokes ARE NOT for those of you who've had surgery recently - it's WAY too fibrous!]
An amazing young woman works in this hotel - she had bypass surgery 3 years ago and has lots 350 pounds! she started off at 550, and has done wonderfully - although she has some vitamin deficiencies. most important, she's thrilled with her second chance, and so are her children.
it's a gift. and so are you ALL. thank you for being here - may 2008 be good to all of us!
