I've tried detoxes that you buy from the store... That's about it. And they are pricey. The one I did was called the Wild Rose Detox. I really liked it.

Maybe for a detox you could just follow the food plan provided with one of the kits. Sometimes health food stores have extra copies of those. It's the food that makes the big difference.

Usually you have to cut out milk products, sugars, and white grains or anything made from flour. Stick to whole grains, veggies, fruits, lean proteins (preferably eggs and meats, or meat substitutues.). Also they'll tell you to eat a lot of "alkalyzing foods" instead of "acidic making foods"...

Andyway I hope that helps.

I did a 3 day cleansing diet that I loved, by the third day I felt great. I lost the official diet, but it was essentially wake up, meditate 10 min, drink a cup of hot water and lemon, whole grain breakfast, lunch was something like brown rice and kale and beets, dinner was similar, adding some tofu or chicken breast. Basically that was it...I think my friend found it in some magazine but it was pretty good.
Maybe if you google cleansing diet?
Good luck! You're weight loss so far is awesome!

I just read Bazaar I think it was, the magazine, and it had a whole article about detox diets. They recommended it but it sounded disgusting. If I were you I would just create my own detox diet and live off all natural fruits, veggies and whole grains and beans and such.

You could always get a juicer and buy all kinds of fruits and veggies, get juice recipes. This is so much better than the lemon/cayenne/syrup cleanser! You can make your own combinations and they taste great! Hmm...maybe I'll make some in the morning for breakfast! Juicers aren't too expensive...and I know fresh produce can be too, but you won't be living on it, just for detox!

Let me know if you go this route, we can share recipes and possibly do a three day detox or something together???! I am not up for it right now, but maybe after the 1st sometime? I am just too busy to make juice all day!

I did a 9-day detox through the Fat Smash Diet. It consists of eating only brown rice, oatmeal, veggies and fruits, yogurt, milk, and protein from beans or egg whites, umm...I can't remember everything off the top of my head, but they have a group on here that is for the Fat Smash Diet and I think they have different posts about the things you can and can't eat. I also have a book and could email you what it says...if you want. Oh, and during the detox I had lost about 8 lbs....I need to do it again. Makes you feel great too!
