Default Hope this doesn't upset anyone here...

I know with Flex you have to readjust your daily points periodically. My questions is this... if you are on Flex, do you HAVE to lower your daily points? I am asking if let's say you had 30 points per day and kept losing even though you're weighing lower and let's say also using your wpa's, is it REALLY necessary to lower those daily points ?

I personally didn't lower my points until I stopped or slowed in losing, then I adjusted them by 2 points at a time. The higher you can keep your points, and still lose, the better when you reach maintenance.

Some people feel you must go by the book, others have said their leader recommend doing it the way I did. My opinion, since you asked, is to do what works for you.

I agree, the more points you can eat and still lose the easier it will be for you to maintain the weight. Do what you feel is best- if you can eat more and still lose- why deprive yourself?

I am so grateful for your answer here. I thought the same thing because I have been losing on a spread of 30-35 points/day. I incorporate my wpa's in my week by adding 5 to my 30 dailies with a use it or lose it idea and it does work. One week I ate 10 above the day and the next day just stuck with 30 and did pull a loss on the week. On Core I was stalling out and started to gain weight back. That's what got me over to Flex. Flex does work. It really makes you cognizant of what your portion sizes should be as well as your attiudes about food in general. Core scares you out of eating any kind of food. Flex says if you can fit those points in, eat small but enjoy being OP.

I'm now looking to be mindful of calories as well. That has helped. People, I just busted out of the 230's!!!! I am now at 229 1/2 pounds! I haven't been there since I was 33 y/o. I know this for a fact because that was the year after I was married and ballooned up there to this weight! Now I am looking at a birthday coming next month! I will be 49 y/o with a lot less of me entering in the New Year! I'm down 55 1/2 pounds so far and the week isn't up! I'd love the day when I say I've lost 60 lbs. !

I always find if I write it down I lose, even if I go over my points allowance. Also, your activity points help, you're probably more active at the lower weight without even thinking about it.

Congrats on the almost 60, proud of you!!
