Carla - thanks for starting the thread.

Flower - congratulations on a great loss!

TheBabies - I think you did great having been on vacation. You obviously are incorporating some good habits into your lifestyle.

Cameron - congratulations on a great loss!

I did not weigh in this week. I had a doctor's appt in the morning and would have had to go to the early meeting (7:15) which is not impossible (I went to that one the week before) and I opted to sleep a little later. Of course, the fact that I had a rough week last week had something to do with it as well! The tough times continue although I'm trying to stay on plan. I'm an emotional eater and the fact that this is the last week at my current school and I'm starting a new job after the holidays has made it rough going. I did a good amount of exercise over the weekend but also ate a good chunk of my weekly points. Yesterday, after the last yoga class (until January) we all went out to dinner. It was a really great time and while I did well on the entree (fish & asparagus), didn't have any bread, just had a taste of dessert and only had 1/2 glass of wine, I did have a naughty appetizer - "crispy" calamari. I've counted the points and am moving on. Of course, tonight is our school party (basically dinner) so that will be a bit of a challenge. I'm planning on having fish, having at most 1/2 glass of wine and will just have to watch out for the appetizers and bread basket. Wish me luck!

When I said be back later, I didn't mean this much later....

Congrats to everyone on their losses. And hey 1/2 lb is still a loss!

Judy - This time of year is so hard with all the food gifts and the treats. Add an emotional change and bam - it would be killer for me. Actually it is killer for me and I'm not going through a job change. I guess I'm feeling sorry for myself because my knees have really been bugging me, I'm way behind on everything, etc. etc. Poor, poor pitiful me. I haven't been on the scale in a couple of weeks and I need to get on it. But I'm bloated beyond belief waiting for my period to start. Every few months it's about a week late and I think this is going to be one of those months. Unfortunately, PMS doesn't wait to start, it just sticks around longer. Which does nothing to help my mood. On the positive side, I just ordered my new Daytimer pages - yes finally- and I ordered the American Diabetes Assoc. diabetes mgt set so I do a better job of tracking carbs, etc. I'm going to get there in 2008!
