Hi! I found this website while searching for South Beach diet recipes. My husband and I started the South Beach Diet a week ago. So here's some background info on me and why I'm on here.
My name is Chelsey and I'm 22 years old. My husband and I got married when I was 19 and he was 21. When we got married I was around 130-135lbs. Four months after we got married, we'd both gained nearly 20lbs. So we joined the gym and went for two months, at this point I weighed 151lbs. We quit going to the gym. About 2 months later, seven months after we got married, we were pregnant with our first child. At my first doctor's appointment they told me I weighed 149lbs.
I was put on bed rest at 6 months pregnant and as a result of that and pregnancy cravings, I put on a total of 48 lbs. while pregnant, making me 197lbs. the day I gave birth to my daughter.
When she was 9 days old, I re-weighed myself and I weighed 180. When I went to the doctor a few months later, I was 173. I was really frustrated and started the Alli pill. I lost 8lbs, in less than two weeks but couldn't keep up with the fat restrictions until I got back to my goal weight. Apparently now, I'm back somewhere between 165-170lbs. I want to be 130.
My husband and I both want to lose about 35-40lbs. I'm determined to do it. When I turn 23 I want to look like a 23 year old.
