Default New & Motivted

I know that it may not seem I have a whole lot to lose but I have been at a plateau for... ummm, the last 10 years. My weight has been the downfall of my adult life. My closet still holds my size 5 thru 8's, in hopes that I can fit into them again one day, although, they are all much out dated now.
I am hoping that joining this site and meeting people eager to be healthy and fit will motivate me and vice versa. I have tried so many diets and all I want is to be in the zone enough to make a healthy lifestyle change, NOT A DIET!!!
I just started taking Burn 60 from GNC (not a diet pill) but a energy booster that helps me sweat and burn 60% more calories than the norm. I also have been drinking this tea called Laci Le Beau. That one, I don't know about. It's been two days since I started drinking it and me and the bathroom have became really good friends. Need I say more? I try to exercise as much as possible but when I am off work all I want to do is rest. I am a commerical kitchen installer by trade (family business), which consists of heavy, constant lifting of stainless steel equipment, ovens, shelves etc. You would think that my job alone would be the answer to my weight problem but no. Although, I am in need of losing weight, I come from a family of heavy people and I am actually one of the smallest. So, weight struggles appear to be genetic. I dont know, low metabolisms, thyroid issues, who knows. Anyways, any uplifting advice, success stories, etc. would be extremely appreciated.

Hello and Welcome! I don't have any goal stories yet....just started this site yesterday myself. Been lurking here forever, so I can tell you the people here are wonderful. Best of luck.

You are right. This is not a diet. This is a change for a better, healthier lifestyle. Are you tracking your food or calories?

If you want success stories, oh my, they're all over the place. Head on over to the Goals area. So many positive success stories there, and so much advice and wisdom within, too.

Best of luck!

I have not been counting calories or tracking food at this time but this past week, I have consumed only water, vegtables, fruits, poultry and one serving of cheese per day. I have energy and I am taking vitamins but have steered clear of fried foods, high-starch foods and high-sodium. I feel that those changes alone could make a difference if I can just stick to it and I have not been over eating at all, but I could be wrong. It is hard for me to keep track of calories due to the fact that I sometimes work 70 hours a week. I just hope that these changes will help. Thank you for your kind and quick response. I feel welcomed already

I think you will be pleasently suprised what a big difference the changes you have made will make! You may have to do more smaller changes down the road when these changes level off. Good Luck!!
