Smile The troll has become a member!

Hello fellow ladies! I have been linked to this board numerous times! Every time I think about a new diet plan, I find myself trolling these boards reading opinions on said diet and they are always helpful! I decided to join! finally! haha

Anyway, my name is Niki im 28 been dieting forever since elementary school I guess. I tried a lot of different diets and JUST started Medifast, but was apprehensive after the death of my taste buds after Nutrisytem and Jenny Craig. We shall see how this works out, but I read someone here has done great on this plan and hope I have the same success with it, although it may not be a good fit. Here I go rambling already!

Anyway Hello to all! I look forward to getting some support by people who are going through the same thing as me and not someone is being paid to fill my head with advice of questionable motives.

Well thanks for the welcomes! Just wanted to post that Medifast tastes like chalk to me, and this is not something I can stick with. It works for others I know that, but not me. I need real food. I will continue my search for the perfect lifestyle change plan thingy. Wish me luck, I will keep reading and see what ideas there are out there..

Sorry it didn't work out like you planned. However, you never would have known until you tried it! You did, it isn't what you want. No biggie

If you want real food then how about eating... real food?

Plenty of people stick with calorie counting. With calorie counting websites you can keep track fairly easily. I personally keep track with WW points, but there are many a people here who can testify to the simplicity and ease of calorie counting.

Regardless, keep trying! You'll find the plan that works best ^^

ahh Thanks for the welcomes again!

Yes real food would be idealy the best thing for me. The only problem is I keep trying that and I lack the will power thing.

Also my husband weighs 135 and eats nothing but fast food, hes a picky eater, and also loves to see me happy, food makes me happy.

So Its a bit more deep than just counting what im eating, I always fail. That is why I turned to Medifast. I tried Jenny Craig and other plans to find myself back in the same boat.

Thats not the last twist to the story. I have type 2 diabetes. I am active, not so much now that its 30 degrees outside. The next factor to choosing a plan is I plan to be pregnant, we are trying, so something like medifast would not work for me in the long run.

The one that I have not tried ( and my mom lost a lot of weight on) is weight watchers. That might be the ticket. I am willing to give it a try. To be honest why I have not tried it yet is the fact that I don't want to count points, but I guess I will have to count something at one time or another!

Anyone been in the same boat as me? Please share!
