I'm new to exercising, and have been doing approx. 20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 on the exercise bike 3 mornings a week. If I have about an hour in the mornings, and that is all, to devote to exercising, what would be the best exercise to be doing? I've chosen these two simply because I have them on hand and don't really have a clue what else to do? Any ideas, or should I just stick what what I have? Thanks!
Do you go to a gym or you have these pieces of equipment at home? Do you have any weights?
Assuming you don't have access to a set of weights trying adding in some body weight exercises a few times a week to help build some muscle which will help you maintain your loss in the long run. Squats, lunges, pushups, crunches, planks are all good ones that target lots of muscles at once.
Good work getting started on the exercise - it's an important part of the puzzle!
