Question about wine consumption
alright, alright, save me the judgement-I know I am being stupid. I looked everywhere for this question before I decided to through myself out there and admit this: I am 2 years out of gastric bypass, not the band, but the full surgery. I was so proud of myslef-I lost 110 lbs and was down to 175. Then......my husband went on deployment. I have twins with special needs, life got a little overwhelming-so let me feel sorry for myself for a minute. Ok, I'm done. So at night I started to have a glass of wine to wind down. Of course I felt the alcohol immediatly-that was the point! By 2 weeks in-it had become 2 glasses. I never got wasted, or worried about being an alcoholic. He was gone about 3 months, and I'de say on an average I had-and are still having about 6 to 8 oz. of wine a night. I have noticed by my clothes I am gaining weight-but I was too chicken to get on the scale till recently. I gained 40 pounds in 3 1/2 months. Is that possible just by drinking wine? My diet haas not changed at all-I still eat all the same things in small quantities-just the wine has changed. I have noticed though that I can swallow any size of thing-for instance-I can swallow huge vitamins-I can guzzle water, I can take a way too big bite and I don't even feel it go down. So, there it is, I have thrown it out there-try not to kill me, I have already started to cut back on the wine-I just find it hard to believe wine caused 40 pounds-could it be something else? Thanks so much ladies(and gentlemen), I know you spend alot of your time answering these posts and I really appreciate it!
