Talking My favorite 70 calorie snack!

I started to re-vamp my daily eating routine since I now have a job where I sit at a desk ALL day and can't get up unless I have someone to relieve me. A friend turned me on to Wasa crackers and you girls turned me on to Laughing cow cheese. I use the Sourdough Wasa crackers (35 cals. each - and they're big) and spread a wedge of Laughing Cow Light Swiss Cheese (also 35 cals.) on it. It tastes so good and the crackers are really crunchy and filling. I have one as a mid-morning snack and one as a mid-afternoon snack. It's one of those things I'll never get tired of because I love cheese!

I've never tried the Wasa crackers, but I am a giant fan of the RyKrisp brand crackers. They're also only 35 cals each. I love 'em with peanut butter. 2 crackers each with a tsp of peanut butter comes in around 127 cals. So yummy!

I've been eating Wasa crackers a lot lately too. I like their crunch! And they sound great spread with cheese (I really like the light onion flavor, also 35 calories). Thanks for the reminder.

Yeah! I love wasa crackers and laughing cow cheese wedges. I also eat the crackers with salsa and sometimes with sugar free jelly and natural peanut butter.

Laughing cow cheese is found in the refrigerated area where the cheese are but depending on your grocer, they could be near cream cheese or near regular cheese. Costco also carries it.

Wasa crackers are in the cracker area of the grocery store. Sometimes they may also be located in the 'international' area of a supermarket.

Wasa crackers are the only ones I eat now. I love the fiber and the multi-grain varieties. They are a favorite snack with a bit of hummus on them - add a small glass of red wine and my evening is complete

The multi-grain crackers are 45 cals each, but they are bigger (thicker). I really like their "crunch" and they are my favorite ones to eat "plain".

Now I have to go find Wasa crackers! I love crackers. I keep some fat free saltines in my desk drawer. However, if I can find something that has more flavor, I'll go ahead and up the calories just for the flavor.

Hmm, another thread turned me onto reduced fat goat cheese from TJ's. Maybe I'll get that and divide it into ounces and have a Wasa cracker!

Yum! I'm looking forward to a snack next week at work.

Thanks.

In my supermarket the Wasa crackers are actually in the bread aisle instead of with the crackers and snacks because it's called "crispbread". Then the Laughing Cow cheese is in the case that usually has all the fresh-wrapped cheese wedges (usually separate from the dairy aisle), not in the aisle where you usually find the singles and the shredded cheeses. That's how it is in my Shop Rite, anyway.

I would love to find sourdough Wasa. I love sourdough. However, I got some Ry Krisp yesterday. The fat free kind was on sale and the nutritional info is pretty close to the Wasa.

I got some Laughing Cow Garlic and Herb Light. One wedge cut in half generously covers 1 cracker. So I get to have 2 big crackers with cheese as a snack!

Thanks again for turning me on to this!

For work, my favorite snack is chopping up some veggies and tossing them in a ziplock. Red peppers, carrots, celery, etc. Not very unusual, but I love them

Here is an idea I got from my online motivational coach. Let a LC wedge get to room temp. (I do this while taking a shower/getting dressed). Take 1/4 cup of your favorite diced veggies or salsa and mush them/it up with the LC cheese. Put in a small gladware container and pack a cracker. Put the LC/veggie or salsa mixture on the cracker. The added veggies or salsa add some bulk to the snack. I sometimes add a salad with Salad Spritzer dressing or cut up veggies with FF ranch and that is my lunch. But the cracker alone is very filling as a snack.
