Default Fast to detox?

Hi Gals, I've been here and back for at least a year, gone on SB, lost, fell prey to bread and sugar after phase 3, gotten off bandwagon, and gained back (10-12 pounds).
I'd like to start SB tomorrow, but I'm wondering if one day of fasting (just water) might be a good way to give the system a break.
Any opinions? I'd love to hear from you, thanks!

i am no expert, but i think you would depriving your body of needed nutrients. ph 1 is sort of detox for the carb cravings.

I am not sure of the benefits of a one day water fast. I would think that you need atleast 3 days to benefit from that. You will just be really grouchy. If you are fasting for spirtual reasons that is one thing, but I think that cutting out the refined sugar and simple carbs will be enough of a detox.

I KNOW I am detoxing because I have to get up in the middle of the night to pee. And I am not talking about a little bit--it is like niagara falls. The toxins and fat are flushing.
