Hi I just joined and hope to learn alot from everyone. I am new to dieting, before I just didn't care I just learned to live with being fat. Then my doctor told me I might need knee surgery but was too fat to have it done set me on a new path in life. I have started cooking healthier, and honestly...it's not too bad. I got my Bean in the mail last week need to get started on that.

Hi there! to 3FC!

3FC is a wonderful resource on your weight loss journey. So many days I've felt like quitting and heading out to eat bad food. Instead, I come here and read some threads, look at some pictures, and within half an hour I'm re-motivated!

I HAVE to ask, what is a "Bean". You said you got one in the mail and I can't picture getting a 'bean' (as I know it) in the mail. It may be a North American thing, so I may be one of the few people who have NO idea what you are talking about.

The Bean is like an exercise ball but in the shape of a kidney bean(the best I can describe it ) I hope it will be more stable than the ball.

Keep us posted on your Bean and how it works. I've recently seen the TV ads and wondered about it. I've read some of the reviews, but as they were mixed, I've put off getting one. One person noted that it deflated by itself between uses. Hope it works!
