I've lost 80 pounds, and have no loose skin. I've lost the weight slowly, so that might have something to do with it.

I was worried about loose skin too. But not now. Even if I do get it, it much better to have loose skin that can be hidden under clothes, than extra skin filled with fat that can never be hidden. Life is sooo much better now, that I have lost the weight.

I've lost 110 so far and have really bad loose skin on my thighs and arms. There is no way to know how your body will be affected. It depends on your age - skin elasticity - how long you were overweight etc. Way too many factors to figure out. Just concentrate on losing the weight and getting healthy.

The first time around I lost 50+ i didn't have any loose skin on my body and i lost the weight fast and rather unhealthily (think essentially starving and working out 7 days a week a minimum 3hours a day). This time around I've been doing it slowly and healthily. I'm now 5 pounds shy of my goal and have a tremendous amount of loose skin on my lower abdomen. But this time around I haven't been very good at the weight training aspect of weight loss, which i'm pretty sure is what helped me fight the lose skin last time. I finally decided to start weight training about 5 weeks ago a minimum of 3 days a week. I'm no slowly but surely beginning to see my skin tighten. But as previously said, it really depends on YOUR body. Age and speed of weight loss also have alot to do with it.

I've lost almost 60, but it's been gradually & with variations of weight training, yoga & pilates added to the cardio mix. I've heard that drinking a lot of water (which is good anyway) and keeping your skin moisturized is supposed to help. I did have flappy arms for a bit with some extra skin, but they seemed to have returned to normal. I would say keep yourself hydrated both internally & externally & incorporate some sort of toning into things. Whether it's weight training or pilates or whatever else.

I've lost 115 lbs and I don't have any loose skin. There are far too many factors out of your control to worry about what your skin will do after the weight comes off. Better to do nice things for your body like strength training, yoga, long soaks in yummy scented baths and keeping your hydrated. These thing might not help with the skin, but they will definitely help you reframe the situation in your head to help you decide what's important for you.

People's bodies are so different. Even within families (I know that it's your sister-in-law), but saying. There's no way to tell what your skin will do and honestly there isn't much you can do about TODAY anyway. Better to work on fitness and eating goals that you can control than something you can't.
