Default Wednesday's Hump-Day Chat

Good Morning! This month of September is bringing us some gorgeous weather so far, I hope it lasts!

The girls both had great first days back to school, and even proceeded to play school when they got home. Ballet lessons start today, so we're gradually getting back into the old routine again.
I'm planning to clean my oven this morning and putter around in the flower beds before picking up Maggie. We had the Pork & Pepper Salad over shredded red cabbage for supper last evening (SBD Cookbook), and I'm having leftovers for my lunch today. I just love that recipe.

I'm off to my workout for now. Talk to you all in a bit, enjoy your day!

Ohh...that recipe sounds wonderful!! Will have to try it soon. yum.

First day of classes with the kids went very well yesterday. I had 5 classes and all of them behaved and listened wonderfully...I have the next 5 today and the last group of 5 tomorrow, then the cycle starts over again. The kids come every three days for a total of 15 classes. Even though it went well, I was exhuasted when I got home. When I finished my client work I went to lay down for just a few minutes before heading to the gym. I usually leave here around quarter to 5. I woke up 3 hours later...so much for the treadmill. The first days are so tiring!

Busy, busy chickies! I must confess I didn't do much yesterday - just dabbled. Today will be better! I'm off to the gym and then will tackle that bushel of plum tomatoes sitting on the deck! I may end up freezing some of them whole and make salsa some cold winter day.

See y'all later! I need to inhale a shake and get going!

Ruth, have you ever made caprese salad?...it would be a great treat with those fresh tomatoes. Just slice the tomatoes and put them on a plate then put some mozzarella cheese on top of them and then a few leaves of fresh basil...then olive oil, salt and pepper on top. I also use vinegarette instead of the traditional plain olive oil sometimes. over the top yum.

The good ole days of fall. It is a wee bit chilly here this morning. Had to put my jacket on for the walk to the bus stop. Our first day went pretty smooth as well. With the exception of the 3:20 bus that broke down in the school driveway. So that put those kids about 20 mins behind coming home. Gotta love it. Today for me is really nothing maybe some outdoor work when Dh gets home from his morning bus run.

Cottage- Gotta that picture in my head again.

Femme- I was pretty tired too last night. I went to bed @ 9:30, new routines always take the body awhile to adjust.

Ruth- Enjoy your day. I had a little feed of green beans out of my garden, and I have some tomatoes I need to do something with as well.

Have a great day chicks.

'morning all! Just a quick check in yet again to say hi before I rush off to work. I'm hoping to be able to get up early enough to start writing regular posts soon.

I can't believe it's Wednesday and I'm already looking forward to the weekend! I have some friends coming in from out of town for the Busch races. The bad thing is, when they're here, the love to eat bad things!

I hope everyone has an OP day!

Oh boy, I'm fighting to stay awake. Morning girls. Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. I've been up 15 minutes and my body just doesn't seem to think it's time to get up. Better get ready to go. Training Ryan today. Talk soon.

Good Morning Girls,
It feels like forever that I have been on the site. My son was home over the weekend and since we missed one day of work this week, I am really busy. Just a quick post, hope everyone is doing well. I weighed today and I didn't loose a pound. Maybe because I have lost quite a bit over the past few weeks. I will keep on plugging along.

Good Morning Ladies,

Back to work today after a lovely 4 day weekend. I'm jealous of all you chicks who get to go to the gym! I'm still waiting for DH to finish setting up my stuff at the new house. All this dogwalking we're doing while we wait for the fence to be built has to count for something though!

Gotta go. Work beckons.

Just a quick hello, chicks. Gotta get serious today about work. The weekend will be here before we know it!

Discovery of the day: Quaker Weight Control Instant Oatmeal, banana bread flavor, with a spoonful of peanut butter stirred in is the bomb!

Have an excellent Hump Day!

Hey girls! Have been a bit of an insomniac lately and woke up with a rash covering my face, so I skipped out on my first class. My professors are so good to me- I explained my health issues and they're basically letting me miss as many classes as I need despite their 3 absence automatic fail rules and such.

Also finally got the fridge, though it kind of stinks. :/ Oh well. It's well sized and has a little mini freezer so I can start getting snacks and such to nibble on and also not feel like I HAVE to eat everything I get at a meal- one of the many bad things parents do to their children when trying to do the best! Now I can just stuff that half a burrito salad into my fridge and voila, instant late night study snack!

Heading out now to go catch the commuter rail into Boston and get a new cell phone since I'll probably never see mine again. Then tonight- power yoga!

cottage - That pork & pepper salad is one of my favorite recipes. I make the Indian Tomato soup with it. I just have a little soup with my meal and then save the leftovers for a lunch while DH put the pork and cabbage into his soup.

schmoodle - that instant oatmeal is not on plan but it is good. I save it for campout when I need instant and use old fashioned each day. Only 5 minutes in the microwave and I eat it with Splenda, cinnamon and a banana.

Last night was the district committee meeting and that was a lot of fun. I signed up to teach two sessions of leadership training. I'm going to be mentoring someone so he can teach it on his own sometime.
