Default Walk Slim vs. WATP

Hi everyone!

I'm a big fan of Leslie's.

Is her Walk Slim series supposed to be more intense than her WATP ones? Because I did one mile of the Walk Slim yesterday and I was out of breath like I usually am when I finished the 2nd WATP mile! Am I doing it wrong or is it supposed to be harder?

Thanks.

Hi,

The Walk Slim program is supposed to be higher intensity! You're not doing anything wrong...

I find Walk Slim to be more intense...but it seems to go by a lot faster as well. Can't beat that!

Do you know which walk I find to go by the quickest....the 5 Mile Advanced Walk....I just love that walk and every time I do it, I can't believe that 65 minutes have went by! It has to be because each mile is different....So, if you like the Walk Slim series, I recommend trying it sometime..you can also start off with 3 miles and work up to the 5 miles!

I want to get that one so bad! They don't have it at the Wal-Mart here, so I'm waiting to get some money so I can order it. Do you use the Walk Belt with it? I don't have it yet, is it worth the money?

Cassie, I personally do not have the belt for the 5 mile advanced walk. I just use the stretchy band again for that mile.

Unfortunately, I seem to be allergic to the stretchy band. I think it's the "powder" on the latex. I get it on my hands, and then I get it on my face, and the skin on my face starts burning nastily until I can douse myself under a cold shower.

I haven't mastered how to quote another person's message... I read one question about whether the WATP workouts are really intense enough or not. I find that the ones without the accessories can be made much more intense by keeping my hands higher than my heart the whole time. Don't just move your arms when Leslie says to, keep them moving throughout the workout.

Getting back into exercise after a year's falling off the wagon and countless inches put back on, I'm finding that walking with Leslie is the only workout I feel like doing. I'm glad for this option to ease myself back into this fitness journey.
