Default Free SBD snack bar sample

Hi ladies,

I'm not on SBD, but I thought you ladies might like this over here.

I filled it out myself first, to make sure that it was legit. I received a free sample of the South Beach Diet snack bar in the mail, and it came with coupons for their wraps, bars, frozen meals, and information as well. I received the package about a week and a half after filling out the form and submitting.

Here is the link:

If it's warm where you live, don't bother doing it. Mine showed up having melted and reformed in the mail about a dozen times. I don't think it was the kind of advertising they were looking for. It wasn't pretty.

I got this bar a couple of weeks ago and ate it yesterday (I went on phase one today so I ate a lot of 'crap' yesterday.

heres my review on the bar:

It looked very pretty and almost could pass for a pay day candy bar. The peanut butter smell was very strong and there was a peanut butter layer on the bottom. First bite was great but after that it was just ok. In my opinion it was really small for 150 calories but tasted pretty good. There was corn syrup in the ingredients so that was a little put off as well. Overall Rating: 5/10. Taste got it the main points but I don't think I would purchase the bar

Thanks for the link. I've tried many nutrition bars and so far the Zone orange/mango is the only one I've found that I like.....had to give those up for SouthBeach anyway

I have to say, I loved the Chocolate Raspberry snack bars--I actually bought some, but aren't going to pass up the freebie--thanks, Aphil!

Mine were only 100 calories...wonder why they're different, RocknRoll? They *are* small, but the raspberry in the Choc. Raspberry one is like a really rich jam full of flavor, and it makes it quite the yummy experience! A great portable 'dessert'!

Ah-hah! Now I get it! These are the 'Sweet Nut Creations' bars...they do have 140 or 150 cals and only 5 or 6 grams of protein. I'm not as much a fan of these as I am of the protein cereal bars, but I was actually talking about the 'Snack Bar Delights' which are a cereal bar topped with something (raspberry puree, mint cream, or peanut butter) and coated in either chocolate or peanut butter. They are small (4 oz), but are pretty rich and have only 100 cals, 5g fiber, and a decent amount of protein. I couldn't find them on the Kraft website except in a press release--sorry. I found them at my local Wal*Mart near the protein bars.
