I just wanted to say hello to evryone here and kind of introduce myself before i jump in and start to post around here.
I was diagnosed with depression quite a few years ago but i am not, at the moment, under the care of any Dr. or therepist and not on any meds. I pretty much just deal with it internally. I do ok with that for the most part until after awhile i end up having a mini breakdown that will last anywhere from1-3 days. but it is not often id say every 3 months or so. I have just always been afraid of taking meds like that.

Anyway, I get by with the occasional small issues My biggest issue right now is insomnia - my mind just does not stop. My weight issues seem to take over much of my waking thoughts - it has brought my depression to a whole new level - but i will continue to work o lose it, even thoough i have nit had a lose in 6 months

Anyway, thats me in a nutshell, i can't wait ti get to know others around here.

This is a really great place to be for support and weight loss help. If I can ask.... why don't you want your doctor to help? some people are put on meds for a short time. No need to suffer if you don't have to.

Well, I guess Im a bit afraid of the meds - I wont even take a sleep aid for my insomnia - that is mostly a fear of eversleepin, but i guess now would be the time to try the sleep aids since im not working at the moment.
I also don't have med insurance, so even if i wanted to get help I would not be able to.
